A: Ingredients: Red: Glycerin, invert sugar, water, vegetable juice, citric acid. Yellow: Glycerin, water, polysorbate 80, turmeric. Green: Water, glycerin, polysorbate 80, trehalose, spirulina extract, turmeric, sodium citrate. Blue: Glycerin, water, trehalose, spirulina extract, sodium citrate. Our food coloring is free from artificial colors and made by nature. Derived from pure vegetable juice, turmeric and spirulina extract. Shake before use.

Q: Does this product hold color when baking? I’ve tried other natural food coloring brands but they do not hold color in high temps.
A: Watkins Assorted Food Coloring with No Artificial Dyes are lighter in color. Below are some tips we for baking with Red & Green Food Coloring. Shake well before use. Red Food Coloring: For optimal performance in baking preparation add 2 tsps. of cream of tartar to dry mix, then color as desired. Best results seen with recipes that include whole eggs. Green Food Coloring: color changes may be noticed if baked at a temperature greater than 350 degrees.

Q: How many eggs will one color (red) dye?
A: You can dye multiple eggs with 1 color. For egg coloring, mix 1/2 cup water, 1 teaspoon Watkins Food Coloring, and 1 teaspoon vinegar.

Q: Is it safe for a dog to consume?
A: Our food coloring was developed and safety tested for human consumption. We do not have safety data for dogs. That said, the coloring ingredients used in the food color are free from artificial dyes and are plant based and should generally be safe for dogs as well if consumed in typical amounts. However, we would recommend they check with a veterinarian to be sure.

Q: making bath bombs just to know if its skin safe?
