Sturdy shorts--pockets no less--look great but aren't engineered for female anatomy. The rise is far too short, which means that four thick seams all come together in the crotch exactly where they shouldn't. Underwear is always smooth and non-chafing. If you slide the waist down, as they're illustrated, it won't help because we move around in bed, don't we. Expected Jockey to produce a thought-out product. Hope they re-do it.

I am short (5’ 0”) heavy (160 lbs) and old ((82 years)., but went ahead and purchased 2 pairs of these shorts in size Large and I’m very glad I did. I have worn Jockey panties for years and have always liked their quality products. I was looking for nightwear cooler than long PJs pants to wear in bed in the summer heat. I laundered these shorts before trying on, and they did not run or shrink in the wash. The fit is perfect for me with plenty of ease over the bottom and with neatly tapered side seams. With 3.5 inch length, I some women might find the shorts too short, but for me they are just right. The fabric is closely woven but soft and comfortable. It’s great to find these in (almost) 100% cotton. The pockets are a bonus, and I would like to see more colors. Not the cheapest you can find but excellent value for money. Janna Marie Kilburn A purchased the shorts because I wanted some thing cooler than long PJs .
