Q: does the base of this lamp lean towards grays or browns?

A: Hi - to our eye the design is a gray stone. In dark room conditions it will read as more of a brownish gray, but the overall color tone is gray. Thank you for the question.

Q: Is this a 3-way lamp?

A: Hi - no, this lamp design only has an on-off socket switch, not a 3-way switch. If you are looking for that kind of functionality, however, we would suggest using the lamp with a tabletop dimmer. The dimmer will let you set the light level to whatever brightness you want, giving you far more lighting control than just a 3-way socket. Thank you for the question!

This lamp was very nice. The size is substantial and it looks well-made. It had more green tones in it than I wanted; I was hoping for a more grayish-look and so I returned it. But it is a very nice lamp.

A very pretty lamp that I wish had the capacity to be dimmed, and also had an easier to reach light switch, possibly on the electric cord. I would have happily paid more for these upgrades.
