I noticed these smelled weird as soon as I opened the package. The texture is way too soft. Someone else pinpointed the taste that I couldn't articulate; they smell & taste like playdough. The lingering after taste is slightly like Jolly rancher. But they're way gross!

The texture is about what you expect from licorice candy. I am not a fan of blue raspberry but the cherry was good. Packaging keeps it fresh.

You get a good amount of ropes for a good price too. The only downside in my opinion is the packages are not resealable and there is no way myself nor my kids can finish a pack in one sitting.

We mostly go with the standard hard candies but we love the gummies as well and these ropes did not really pass the flavor test. They just don’t have the same intense flavor that jolly rancher candy usually has. They didn’t taste bad but could go without. The inside candy is also a strange texture.

These new rope candies did not disappoint! They are so soft and bendy- we had a lot of fun making shapes and letters out of them before eating! They definitely have a sour kick that I could have lived without. But still full of flavor and highly addicting to eat. I just wish there wasn’t any food dye in them. I don’t mind eating food dye myself but I refuse to give it to my kids. My littlest one has major behavior changes after just one little bite of red dye. I might buy these again for myself but it’s a big no for my kiddos!

The packaging would be better if a ziplock because it would be quite difficult to eat them all at once if not sharing. Great value and overall a different kind of snack.
