I’m 71 years old and have been playing pickleball for 5 years. I have tried a few different paddles but as I got better I needed a better paddle. I’ve had the Collin Johns Scorpeus since January 2024 and just in the last month the binding started to come off. But considering playing 3-4 times a week and dropping it sometimes it was reasonable. I like the power and control and spin I got so I Gorilla glued the binding and it plays great! I like this paddle so much I bought another one for my birthday but won’t use it until the old one is totally used up. Thanks Joola!

I really like the new Gen3 Scorpeus 16mm. Love the power that it provides. My serves and over-head are stronger, plus, I use less energy than before. It takes a week or 2 to get used to not over hitting the shots. It is a fun paddle to play with, especially playing Singles. The reason I did not give 5 stars had nothing to do with the paddle itself. It was because the quality control of the factory. I bought 2 Scorpeus 16mm at the same time, 1 paddle was very gritty and the other was not nearly as much. The same thing happened to some of my friends on other Joola paddles too. The paddles were sent were not always as gritty as the Demo.
Powerful paddle with plenty of control!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Novice player writing this review, but I'm very happy with this paddle. The grip is great and easy to hold. It's a little bit heavier than some other panels I've tested but it's still easy to control and play with. Others I've played with who have tested my paddle have commented that they like it more than their own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This paddle definitely improves my shot and is also very light, which helps my game as well. The paddle is very well designed and the color is nice and is easy to match with different outfits. Overall this paddle is very nice and as a beginner I'm appreciating a nice one to start with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am new to pickleball and learned at our Senior Center using their basic equipment. Then I received this paddle. I took it with me at the next pickleball drop in to try it out. WOW! It really made a difference. It was much lighter and felt more like an extension of my hand while playing. The grip is perfect for me and my pickleball game has actually improved. It is well constructed and it does look very stylish. May of the folks there commented and wanted to try it out. Some said they will need to get one for themselves.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and his friends are avid pickleball players, playing recreationally 3-4 times a week. I gave him this bat and he is now the envy of his friends (all intermediate/advanced players). They all want to get this same bat now. What they like about it is that is has great control and feels very natural. It doesn't take much time to adapt to this bat. My husband likes to put spin on a ball and this allows him to do that, but also seems to work well for his friends who all have slightly different games. I am impressed by how universally liked this bat is among his friends. I am now the "cool" wife for surprising him with this bat. I have only gotten positive feedback from the guys about this bat, so I would highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this paddle close to 2 months ago. I really like this paddle. It absorbs vibration very well, I don’t get any soreness in my shoulders as I did with other paddles. This paddle has plenty of power , I feel sometimes maybe too much if you your not following through. The body is wide and give more room for error . I wish they had maybe a less weight option. It all and all, I really enjoy this paddle and recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just started playing pickleball this past spring and really enjoy playing it. This pickleball racket is so smooth when swinging back and forth. I have used some that are too heavy. This one is light and perfect! I highly recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not an avid pickleball player so this paddle does its job. It’s still forgiving, light and maneuverable. Not sure I get the power swing I want, but I can upgrade if I get better. This paddle does the job. The handle is well made and I get a good grip with no slippage. I think this paddle is good for casual, beginner play.
Seriously awesome paddle, excellent performance!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Joola Scorpeus pickleball paddle is awesome and definitely a must have for pickleball fans like me. The nonslip handle grip is durable, surprisingly comfortable even when playing for longer time periods, and helps me stay in control of the paddle for optimum performance, while the superior carbon flex surface technology allows me to add high energy, speed and impressive spin to the ball that is hard for the opponent to counteract. The paddle has a wider surface area accompanied by a larger sweet spot, adding more power and more precision during game play. This Joola Scorpeus paddle adds so much more fun to the pickleball game, more power, more spin and more explosive energy that keeps the opponents on their toes and on the edge. Overall, this Joola pickleball paddle is nothing short of amazing and definitely worth it, it adds so much fun to any pickleball game! I highly recommend this paddle!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m new to pickle ball and thought this would be a good paddle. I like how it feels in my hand. It’s not too heavy or too big. Because the paddle is longer, it’s a little easier for me to hit the balls since I’m still so new to the game. Overall, I like it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the feel of this paddle. The sweet spot is a good size and I feel like I have good control and able to get the spin I like. It did take a little time working with it, to get used to it, but definitely a paddle I will get a lot of use out of. I especially like it for digs. I think its a great paddle for everybody. Everybody in our group tried it and liked it, we've all been playing a one to three years, varying ages, 27-60.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pickle ball is the latest trend - everybody is playing! Admittedly, I don’t have a point of reference for comparison but this paddle is functional, well made, and is great for a beginner. All you will need is a ball, and another friend with a paddle to start playing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never played this game before and didn’t really know what to expect. I am an avid tennis player though. I really like this game. I really loved this racket however. As a tennis player I know what to look for in a nice racket. The weight is evenly disbursed so when you are done playing your wrist isn't in pain. I was pleasantly surprised by the hand grip and the non slip. There is hardly any reverberation to affect the control of the racket. I have learned as with this racket the texture is important to affect the rotation of the balls. This racket in particular is big and colorful, and quite durable. My overall impression is very positive as it is not only beautiful but a great racket for professionals and beginners like me.
