Q: do you need a special controler to play this??

A: You need the Just Dance Controller application for a mobile device for all platforms. You can also use a Joy-Con if you are playing on the Nintendo Switch. Normal controllers for each platform can be used for menu navigation only.

I love the Just Dance 2023 edition . My kids all loved it. My son danced to the Justin beaver song and my girls loved the Encanto song. Hours of dancing and fun!

This version of Just Dance is a little different from previous versions that I’ve played. I will say that it’s a little more of a challenge to keep up with the dance moves but lots of fun none the less. VERY good cardio, btw! :) I’m not a huge fan of having to hold my phone in my hand while dancing. I’d love to see the option to use the camera on the phone to score dance moves versus holding the phone. There’s a box but no disc, just a code inside so be mindful of that. You get a 1-month free trial to Just Dance + which is pretty cool so you get access to an extended catalog of songs that continues to grow. All and all a good time for me and the kiddos, looking forward to having all the family over to play along too.
