Bought in September for a Christmas gift. This was ranked as one of the hottest gifts in 2024. Total disappointment. Within a few minutes, my kid was able to unlock the fairy. I thought this would take longer. She didn’t even put the fairy back inside but when she closed thenlid the fairy acted as if it were inside. After that day the toy hasn’t worked again. Just as the other review have said. Also want to note this was purchased for $89 and now I see the price is lowered to $55.99 but DO NOT BUY EVEN AT THE LOWER PRICE

Sadly this review is just like the others. It worked for 3 weeks my daughter loved it and then all of the sudden after trying everything (new batteries, leaving it off, doll right spot) it stopped turning on. The key to opening it stopped working and the screen went white and died. Sad this such a hit and we hopped it would last longer for the price

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter, and we've had it for less than 30 days, even though I purchased it in October. The item stopped working, and despite troubleshooting or replacing the batteries, nothing has fixed the issue. After reaching out to Target, I found that this seems to be a common problem based on reviews. However, Target refused to offer any assistance, even though it was clearly defective. Save your money or purchase from a company with a better return policy so you don't get scammed like we did.

Use Energizer reusable batteries + charger. It WILL WORK!

Hopefully this review helps everyone looking to just make your girl happy with this purchase! It is a neat toy and I got a taste of how let down my daughter was when it stopped working. The key does not make the fairy pop out like most other reviews mention. But, you can manually open the lid when you want to play with your doll. Otherwise, the doll pops out when you regularly play with her when she achieve a certain level of points. As for the battery life, we had the same issue as most all other reviews. It wasn’t working for us with regular batteries. We changed the batteries every day, and got to a point where it just stopped working like other reviewsmention. I tried reusable batteries and it worked but only for one day. Then I used Energizer reusable batteries with our Energizer battery pack. It has worked ever since and turns on immediately when we push the buttons! My daughter is so happy and it has been over a week since I began using the energizer reusable batteries! What worked for us was the combination of the Energizer battery pack with the Energizer reusable batteries. I didn’t try any other brand since Energizer worked for us. (I figured since all other batteries hadn’t worked I might as well try the top brand lol.) I tried Amazon brand of reusable batteries with our energizer battery pack and it only worked for a day. What made it work for us was the combination of the energizer brand! I hope this helps!
