[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hear me out. I had this idea of how to get rid of my briars/smilax growing up through my tall hedge of holly that separates our yard from our unsightly neighbors'. I usually try to dig these guys out since that helps with getting rid of them more permanently, but these are really difficult to access since they're inside the hollies. So I climbed through the hollies, cut the vines at a 45-degree angle leaving about 3 feet sticking out of the ground, filled each tube carefully with undiluted, concentrated tough brush herbicide, and placed the live cut end in the tube for it to slowly soak up the poison. It's worked beautifully so far. I want it to drink up the poison to kill the root below the soil. We'll see if it works for the long term next year if they don't grow back.
