These are woven paper baskets. Though "wicker" can be from various fibers, for the most part I equate it with either rattan or willow, or bamboo, i.e., not this flimsy. Returning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love home decor and items that give me a pleasant way to add storage to my home. I wanted some baskets to store smaller items in my home and these fit perfectly. The lids are slightly off center, but it doesn't effect the look of the baskets negatively. The overall look is quite lovely and they hold a lot of small items. The baskets are made of a nice wicker material and lined with fabric. One is smaller and one is larger, making them perfect for stacking. They have a nice, durable feel and add some character to my space. I am very pleased with these baskets overall and I am happy to have them.

My fault for not checking size but these are really small in case anyone out there expects to actually use these for storage. They are nicely woven and the lid is secure and closes properly and not off kilter. I was just shopping quickly for laundry room storage and threw these in my online cart. Should not have assumed these would be adequate and average sized containers. These are NOT large enough for toys either if you were considering. One is the size for maybe dryer sheets and the other might be large enough for storing a roll of trash bags. Just not the size I had assumed they would be.
