Description
The Kärcher K 5 Power Control CHK is a powerful and efficient electric pressure washer designed to tackle the toughest cleaning tasks around your home and property. With a 2000 PSI TruPressure™ output and a maximum GPM of 1.55, this power washer effortlessly tackles everything from patios and decks to RVs, cars, sidewalks, and siding. The water-cooled induction motor lasts up to 5 times longer than standard motors. Along with the non-corrosive Bi-Component pump, it ensures reliable, maintenance-free operation.
The Vario Power spray wand lets you adjust the spray pattern with a simple twist instead of changing nozzles. The Power Control pistol has a built-in LED display that shows the selected pressure level. For demanding cleaning tasks, use the included Dirt Blaster spray wand and blast away stubborn dirt. The Kärcher Plug 'n' Clean detergent system lets you insert specialized Kärcher detergents into the pressure washer for easy application and intense cleaning.
This kit also comes with a surface cleaner for intensely cleaning driveways, patios, and more. Plus, a rotating wash brush and foam cannon make car washing a breeze.
Thanks to its adjustable spray patterns, the K 5 Power Control CHK can be used to clean vehicles, boats, pools, homes, and much more. The big wheels and the telescopic aluminum handle make it easy to transport the unit anywhere around your house. The on-board storage on the back of the unit keeps the trigger gun, hose, and spray wands neatly stored away while not in use.

Takes an age to put together because instructions are unclear. In use performance ok though the hose connector is very unreliable and comes off easily. No way to lock on the water flow so your wrist gets very tired from that and the poor handle design. Premium prices average performance. Could do a lot better

This is my fifth power washer from Karcher. I have been purchasing their products since the early 1980s. Overall, I have always been pleased with the durability and the longevity of each one. The K5, in particular, has several enhanced features that make it a very useful power washer. Initially, I was looking for a power washer with standard 1/4 inch connections, but I couldn't find one with the same features and capabilities as this unit. I wouldn't call this a disappointment, but they could definitely improve their documentation and explanation of the power, wind, and LED display features. I eventually figured it out, but it was mostly through trial and error. Once I got this feature working, it's fantastic, and its ability to adjust pressure settings with a single wand is great. Overall, I'd give this unit an excellent rating with excellent features. Just be patient with understanding how to get some of the connections working properly.

It's not the lightest but no power washer is. If you've been thinking about getting one of these this is the one.

However, I did a trial use of this power washer works really well on different surfaces. I used it to clean my car and the "she shack"! The soap cleaner that is included helped get the dirt off easily. Hopefully, when Spring comes around, I will get to use this product more. I'm anxious to see how it cleans my wood floors!

I cleaned my backyard, garage, front yard even front footsteps. It works well and it is pretty powerful. It’s not too heavy but just right to carry everything. I have not used it for the car, but after this winter blows over I know it will exceed expectations. It looks durable and reliable so I’m hoping this little machine lasts long. I recommend the is product as your beginner power wash because it sure was mine.

This was the fastest I have ever cleaned my back porch and it was so easy. I didn’t have to apply any pressure whatsoever. Had to go over patch a couple of times instead of that tiny nozzle taking forever inch by inch. I wish I’d had this years ago!!

The assembly was easy to follow. There were pictures to go along with each step and a screwdriver was the only tool needed. Once together, the pressure washer plugs into the wall and is ready to be connected to water. It is light weight and is visually appealing. However, both of my garden hoses would not connect securely to the pressure washer. My husband and I spent a lot of time repositioning and twisting the hose into the plastic piece. In the end, the pressure from the water in the garden hose continually shot the hose off of the pressure washer, making it impossible to use. The machine definitely has potential. However, If you’re looking for something reliable, this is not the product for you.

Because this is a larger pressure washer, you can expect to assemble some to keep it held together properly. If you are looking for a smaller version, Karcher has some wonderful smaller ones also. This big dog of pressure washers is very simple to use, and I had it put together in about 15-20 minutes if that. My favorite part of this set is the circular brush. I can't stand to see tire marks on the driveway, and the brush took them right off. On the gun it shows the pressure level. You set this based on your needs, and with what attachment you are using. The foam cannon sprays wonderfully and covers every square inch you need. I would absolutely recommend.

It was difficult to put together without looking up videos on assembly, and even then it was hard to do. I also had troubles with connecting the pressure washer hose to the pressure washer gun, as the connect still pops out on its own and there is no good way to keep it from happening that I can figure out. Also, the hoses don't seem to fit together as shown in the videos I watched on the K5. Altogether, these issues have made the product difficult to use. I’m sad to leave this review because I was super excited for the product. I’ll continue to play with it and hopefully find a solution, but after a couple of weeks this is where we stand on it. I want to give a better review and say we love it because it honestly has potential to be a great tool! Just not a good experience for me.

We were also looking for a better way to wash out cars. I put off finding a power washer forever because I was looking for something that could tackle all of these jobs. Enter the K5 Power Control! Don't even think twice about electricity over gas, this thing has plenty of power. I actually used the scrub brush that I think is meant for your car, on my siding and it worked incredibly! The auto soap mechanism made it so efficient! The surface cleaner had plenty of power to knock out my driveway in just a couple of hours. My wife loves it for washing the cars. It is such a versatile product, if you need a lot of different cleaning jobs done, go for this bad boy!
