Q: Hi. Can piano hinges or butt cabinet door hinges be used, instead of the hinges that come with the table, so that the hinges are not visible on the outside? If so, what would be the sizes needed? Thanks.

Q: Is the height of the table really 5inches or is that a typo? In that case the picture shown is very misleading.

I’m giving it a 3/5 because even though I do love it,it’s very low to the floor and it was a pain to put together. Some parts were easy and some were awkward to assemble. I wish they would have put a height reference but hopefully my photo will help.

Aesthetically pleasing, Mid-Century Modern low slung coffee table, that I am using as a flat sceen tv table. Quality seems fine but it is a complete pain in the neck to put together as nothing comes assembled. Too low a table if you have dogs.

I love the look of this table, but the quality is only so-so. The first one I got came with the glass chipped -- no big deal, it happens, and Target was awesome on swapping it out. But once I put it together, the little hidden door wouldn't stay closed. Even a touch on the top of the table and it would thwap open. I tried changing out the magnets that hold it, and eventually the figured out the only way to make it work is to push them SUPER far forward...so the compartment never closes fully flush to the top. It's not crazy expensive and the design is great, but you might do better with drawers on sliders than this secret compartment!
