Q: Is the color of the wood more tan or gray. It says gray wash but in the picture it looks tan. Is the upholstery cream or white?

A: Skooter, Thank you for your interest in the Kensington Chair. If you look at the images on site the seventh and eighth images are a close up of the fabric and wood finish. The fabric is a cream / beige color. While the wood is a brown, there is a gray wash application on top to give it a distressed look. Parts of the chair will appear to be more brown, while others will show more of the gray wash.

These chairs give my family room such a beautiful French provincial inspired look. The cane is such a timeless and elegant design along side the beautiful spindle legs. These are built to hold up to the test of time, I’m also impressed with the quality of the material unfortunately my chairs came with stains but hot water and dawn dish soap lifted the soiled spots away. I’m very impressed and pleased with my purchase.

I love that I didn’t have to assemble the chair as it came already put together. I love the chair’s high arms because they are not too low as some chairs are. I love the whitewash finish because it blends well with my home decor. The chair’s cushion is so soft and plush that I could sit in it all day. The cushion is also easy to clean, and the wicker-style design brings the outdoors inside. Overall, I love this chair, and I have received so many great compliments about it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, this chair was fully assembled and extremely well packed. The rule is “assembly required” and/or it arrives with scratches or damage. Not this chair! It was the exception and not the rule. That goes a long way with me. The seat of the chair is a lovely cream-colored material. The actual seating area is quite ample in size too. The star of the show is the cane feature on the sides -- which is very in style right now. (Note: The wood finish is lighter than shown in the photo.) I added a lumbar pillow and placed this chair in the corner of my dining room next to a big window. A very stylish chair -- Would recommend!

This chair is in my living room and it is very comfortable. The look is great with the grey washed finish. It is also very sturdy and solidly built. Came fully put together so I didn't have to worry about assembling the chair.

Absolutely love these chairs! They were purchased for our home office as extra seating. I wanted a much pricier chair from a higher end store but couldn't justify the price tag. These are a fabulous alternative. They’re large enough to sit comfortably but not too big where they crowd a space. The linen fabric is very light so I will scotch-guard in case of spills. The cane is very tight and secure, just lovely! They were packaged very well and did not require assembly.
