Q: how do i use this in a microwave?
submitted by Dr Momma - 2 years ago
A: Hi :) if you're using this on microwavable popcorn, we suggest adding our oil to the popped popcorn after you've added it to a bowl, give it a lil' shake, and voila! If we may, we also recommend adding one of our popcorn seasonings for an even more tasty experience!

SOYBEAN OIL IS UNNECESSAY

Protector Of Ra - 4 months ago
WARNING! DO NOT BUY. Extremely unhealthy. This is made with Soybean Oil which is the worst ingredient and returned this before I opened it. Soybean oil can be considered “bad” in certain contexts due to several reasons: 1. High Omega-6 Fatty Acids: Soybean oil contains a high amount of omega-6 fatty acids, which, when consumed in excess, can cause an imbalance in the omega-6 to omega-3 ratio. This imbalance has been linked to chronic inflammation and related health issues, such as heart disease, obesity, and autoimmune disorders. 2. Highly Processed: Most commercial soybean oil is highly refined and processed. This can involve chemical solvents like hexane and high heat, which may reduce its nutritional value and produce trans fats. 3. Risk of Trans Fats: During hydrogenation (to make it more stable for cooking), trans fats can form. These are harmful fats linked to heart disease, diabetes, and other health issues. 4. Pesticides and GMOs: A large percentage of soybeans are genetically modified (GMOs) and may be exposed to heavy pesticide use. This raises concerns for those wary of GMOs or pesticide residues. 5. Potential Hormonal Effects: Soy contains phytoestrogens, which mimic estrogen in the body. While the levels in oil are much lower than in whole soy products, some people prefer to avoid soy products altogether for hormonal balance. 6. Oxidative Stress: Soybean oil is prone to oxidation, especially when heated. Oxidized oils can produce harmful free radicals, which may contribute to cellular damage and aging. Moderation and choosing less processed oils (like olive, avocado, or coconut oil) are often recommended as healthier alternatives.

It's great if you use it on freshly popped kernels vs the bags. Also, use it along with a tsp of flavocol and you got yourself movie theatre style popcorn.
Good, with salt

I have been buying this for years and love it. The trick is do a light layer and then salt and taste it. Don’t add too much of the oil at first.

Makes your popcorn taste like it came straight from the movie theater. I suggest using this on top of freshly popped popcorn kernels and not the prebagged popcorn pouches.
Use with salt and butter!

The BEST oil if you want that real movie theater like flavor. It’s an oil with the aroma of movie theater popcorn, so you have to use salt and some butter as well. Honestly the bad reviews are probably from people who didn’t use this right. It’s bland on its own, so again, make sure you add salt and butter!

A little goes a long way. Used it on a popcorn machine, does not add flavor! But it's not super oily when cleaning kettle.

Our favorite popcorn oil. It doesn't have too salty of a taste, which makes it a great vehicle for all of the different powders they sell to put on popcorn. Personally, I like it + a little kosher salt tossed on my popcorn. We go through a lot of this having an air-popper on our kitchen counter.
I like it
