Khalid - Free Spirit (Target Exclusive, Vinyl)

So disappointed. I bought two of these records now. Both of which were full of static and skipped incessantly. This is an absolute disgrace to release this to the public in this subpar condition. This is unacceptable. Don’t waste your money

I did not experience any skipping whatsoever and I LOVE the color. Overall a great purchase!

I was looking forward to this record but when I got my copy it had two of disc one. How odd.

I think it's the pressing on this vinyl since I gone through 2 of these lps now and they both sound like if they recorded on a vibrating chair or something, its minimal but definitely there compares to a CD or streaming the song that sounds clear, the color orange vinyl looks great but I cant not hear that wierd almost tremble effect that the recording has I think the master pressing is flawed since it has the same issue with a regular black vinyl.

I ordered this online, came in well shipped and great condition. Both discs were pressed off center and disc 2 couldn’t even be played because the center hole wasn’t cut. Requested a replacement and it was worse, both discs were filthy and center holes cut too small so both discs bent when trying to remove them. Disappointed because American Teen was a great pressing.

Really nice! If you have a half-decent record player, you won't experience any skipping like some of the other reviews mention. It's a good pressing and I love the poster it comes with.

as my first time buying a record i didn’t know what to look for as a sign that the record might be in bad condition,so most of this was my fault. but i bought this album ignoring the tear on the cover, when i got home i took the vinyl out and both of the discs were almost shattered. luckily i was able to return it and get a different one. i’m sure not all of targets records are like this but it would be smart to actually go into the store and look at the record before you buy it in the future

It came with two vinyls. The first vinyl, with side 1&2 was perfectly fine (audio was a bit rough, but I didn’t mind). The second vinyl with side 3&4 was cracked. I couldn’t even play the song I wanted to because the crack was so huge! There was limited selection in store, I had the option from choosing American Teen by Khalid or Free Spirit, now wishing I chose American Teen. Who knows? Maybe American Teen would’ve been cracked too! I highly recommend you look at the records to see if they’re playable before you let people buy them.

I thought it was just one but it was three of them that skipped in the same spots. I really love Khalid but this record is awful.

I was originally hesitant about purchasing this pressing because of the reviews; however, I gave in and purchased it. I love everything about this pressing. The color is vibrant and beautiful. I never had a single skip issue but I’m also using a UTurn Orbit turntable (great turntable). I agree with the other reviewer, I truly believe the skips appear with lower quality turntables and isn’t the pressing at all. So glad I bought this pressing!

As far as skipping issues, I know it depends on the turntable the person is using. I had a cheap Crosley, and returned it because of skipping issues on certain Vinyl LP records. I’m using an Audio-Tecnica LP-60, and have no skipping issues on this record. My kid has the audio-technica LP120, an upgrade turntable, and it plays super smooth. My advice, get an audio technical turntable. Not a Crosley or Victorla.

Overall, the album played somewhat well. There was a small skip in one song but it didn’t bother me that much.

I personally didn’t have any issues with skipping whatsoever (I highly recommend cleaning any records you get before playing them). My only issue is with the slight surface noise throughout. Overall, not as bad as the reviews led me to believe it is

Contrary to what is being said in this review section, I bought this as a gift for my niece and it played fine. There was no skipping whatsoever. The issues that other people are experiencing might have more to do with the kind of turntable they have and not the record itself.

It skips a lot. At first thought that it was just because it was dirty, but after three attempts of cleaning it, it still skip through most of the songs. It also repeated itself alot. The least you can do is Not Buy It!!

It came very damaged the actual record itself is fine but the outside is bent and broken

it skips soooo much i have bought 2 vinyls from target and l they both skipped ALL THE TIME and the worst part is YOU CANT RETURN IT
