We were very excited to buy this lamp. I did a lot of research before making this selection. But when it arrived the glass was significantly darker than in the pictures. We have experimented with putting bright lights inside the "glass" but it just looks dim. Since we want this light for the kitchen, it is not appropriate. As much as we like the design, we haven't installed it and we are finally returning it - very disappointed.

From pictures, we thought the bronze style would have a beige glass. But when we received the light, we saw that the glass is more of an amber and much darker than we expected. It has figuring, which isn't shown in the picture, either. We experimented with putting bright lighting inside the glass, but we couldn't get it to look as light as the picture. We just packed it up to return it - very disappointed. My husband will first call customer service, to see if they can provide a replacement glass. I feel it should have been more clear from the pictures.

The fixtures (we bought two) were very easy to install and are even more lovely than I thought they would be. I am very happy with the quality of the beautiful glass and the soft light it provides. But because of the ability to use bulbs up to 100w we can brighten it up when needed.
