Kichler Lighting Shailene 1 - Light Sconce in Olde Bronze

Love the sophistication this light has given. Love that it is a standard bulb as I had a G9 light fixture prior. This is a great addition to the space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although Kichler designed and ships the elegant and affordable Shailene 5" 1-Light Wall Sconce as a wire-in-wall system, I wanted to use it in a specific location as a plug-in light. By changing it to a plug-in light, I can also move it around from wall to wall or room to room if I decide to rearrange the furniture or the artwork on our walls. I had a friend who is a licensed electrician do the conversion, using a plug-in cord with an on/off switch in the cord. The light can be placed with the satin etched glass shade up to bounce a soft glow off the ceiling, which lights up the corner above my recliner and also highlights one of my favorite paintings without harsh glare. The light can also be placed with the shade down for more direct light toward seating and the floor. It is an elegant and useful addition to our home lighting and a top-quality light, worthy of the Kichler name.

I installed it opening up an the etched glassed disperses the light very well brightening and filling the entired stairwell turn.

Installing along with directions was easy and light was just like it was in the picture. Quality was excellent, there was no issues.As I never had any issues with Kichler Lighting and can always count on quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Shailene 5" 1-Light Wall Sconce with Clear Satin Etched Glass in Natural Brass was easy to install and provides a pretty good amount of light. I do wish the globe was a little bit more see-through. I like that it can be installed facing up or down.

My wife had complained about the need for more lighting while preparing for an evening out. The additional lighting was placed next to a full view mirror so that she would be able to view her chooses while still in the master bedroom closet. She is very happy with this new installation and makes both of us enjoy or home more.

Situated on the small wall near the entrance to our living room, it offers a calm transition from one room to the next. I put in the living room and it looks great! The color matches other lighting in my living room, and the satin edged glass is beautiful!! I love this sconce, and I am sure you will too!! I highly recommend this awesome sconce to everyone!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fixture looks wonderful. I like the fixture color and the frosted globe. Installation instructions are easy to follow. A one year warranty is ok. I dislike fastening the frosted globe to the fixture with a socket ring because these are hard to remove and especially challenging for a person with larger hands. A 100W bulb max allows for creating a lot of light.

The design is timeless and can be mounted either as an uplight or downlight. The opaque glass casts a shadow free light. I received just in time and it is a great addition to my bathroom.
