KidKraft Shark Escape Arched Outdoor Toddler Play Climber

Great climber, my son loves sharks! But putting it together took me almost 3 hours! I’ve built a LOT of kid toys/furniture and this was definitely one of the hardest. Just janky to put together. Once it’s together it’s fine. I’m sure this will give us hours of fun though!

So happy with this purchase.. I was dubious having read the reviews but I risked it for a biscuit and it was definitely worth it... My 3 year old attends gymnastics and I wanted to allow her to practice climbing and balance.. She also loves sharks so seemed a winner.. Easy to put together (agree it's a tad fiddly with the blue clips for the curtain) but I managed on my own.. Had some help staking it to the ground to ensure it was secure and safe but everything else was easy and straight forward.. as soon as it was ready for her she climbed right up and has enjoyed many hours on it and will continue to do so.. Due to it been staked to the ground I am leaving it outside in the garden, I just got a large bbq cover to protect it and prolong it's life though the great UK weather.. Great purchase at a great price.

Nothing like what it looks like in the picture.. Missing parts, the plastic cover ripped unfolding it, and doesn’t last 2 minutes. Nothing water related, apart from a tatty plastic sheet with fish on. Complete waste of money!

This is an Emergency room visit waiting to happen! The design is very flawed and extremely dangerous. Do yourself a favor and avoid this product!

My niece slipped and hurt herself within 5 minutes.

What absolute poor craftsmanship. Screw holes off all over the place, the curtain pins don’t go in, an absolute waste of money. I will be asking for a refund.

This shark climber is so fun & cute! It is a bit narrow in between & the wood planks are not ideal but the kids do fine & it’s not an issue as I thought it may be. Everyone loves it - including other parents! Great find!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This a great activity for the backyard, loads of fun. Kids learn motor skills and able to climb and play in sand if you add that to the bottom. Very fun and easy to build. I'm very happy with the colors and great design. Great for gifts as well.

The challenge level is right for her and she loves the Baby Shark design. Very cute layout with the shark mouth. Relatively easy to build and not too heavy. It's been durable so far...

My 6-year-old will even play with it as well. They both love that you enter through a shark's mouth! I love that it incorporates physical activity and gross motor skills into playtime. Also always for imaginative play too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is so cute! My little guy loves it. He plays on it for long periods of time. It's sturdy and stays in place while he plays. Well made and adorable. It was easy to assemble and it a nice size. Looks great in our play area.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall product was average. The packaging was very good and the instructions were easy to follow. Assembling was easy however the plastic push pins that attach the side curtains were a nightmare. It was a little difficult to push these pins with your thumb. Using a hammer or rubber mallet did not work as all this did was bend the pin. Once together, the climber is pretty solid. I did not like the fact that it has to be staked to the ground as it is very narrow. If it is not secured to the ground, climber can easily tip over. Climber would have been better if built a little wider. Lastly, I know this was made for outdoor use however, and again, if it were made wider, it can be very easily used in doors, on HOT days, without worrying about it tipping over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids are aged 15 months to 6 and each of my kids like hanging climbing and playing inside of it. I like that it allows them to be somewhat physical with the climber but also use their imagination and use the inside as a capsule for going outer space or a boat. They lay blankets over top to make forts. Putting it together took me about an hour. It was pretty easy.

I love that it helps improve his gross motor skills and muscle strength. He loves climbing above and under the bars. Entering and exiting the through the shark mouth makes it more fun. I would highly recommend this product.

It is made very well and was easy to put together took under 30 minutes to get it all set up. It has very cute details and Design. I highly recommend you getting it and give it a try!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I put this together in probably an hour, the instructions were OK up until you get to the yellow "pegs". We had a hard time getting them to thread, also attaching the plastic screen was really difficult. Had to use a drill bit to expand the hole. Overall, the kids like it and I guess that is all that matters. 10/10 for cute and fun, 5/10 for instructions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kidkraft Shark Escape Climber is sure to be an aquatic crowd pleaser for any young toddlers and children. Made from a combination of strong plastic and wood framing, the Shark Escape Climber is sturdy and can withstand toddlers well. Assembly was semi-time consuming, although pretty straightforward with the direction and hardware included. I found assembly to go great up until the final step of installing the vinyl ocean curtain hangings. I felt it worth noting that this final step, although should have been pleasing, was really pure agony. Kidkraft provides you with 20 plastic screw-free pins, that would assuming push into the plastic easily to secure these curtains. However, these pins are a nightmare to fix to the product, as they didn't push with human force, bent with a rubber mallet, etc. I tried to manipulate these screws gently, and with many techniques, to no avail. Eventually, after struggling, I managed to fix about 10 of the 20 properly. The other half of these screws are either bent or halfway in the provided holes. I am unsure why Kidkraft didn't just make a simple plastic pin that pushed in and clicked, but I was beyond tired and frustrated after juggling with 20 of these plastic pins. That being said, I really do love the design, durability and look of this product. The Shark Escape Climber feels really sturdy, as the metal climbing pegs are strong enough to hold my 5-year-old well. The blue and yellows on this toy are bold and vibrant and the vinyl curtains are super fun for kids. Both my two and five-year-old daughters have spent countless hours climbing on top of and inside of the KidKraft Shark Escape Climber, and so I am a happy parent. We opted not to stake our unit into the ground, but wooden stakes are provided for securing the structure to the grass safely. With a few design changes in the curtain pegs, I think this toy would be absolutely fantastic!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kids have had such an awesome time climbing and playing with the Shark Escape Climber. We put plastic balls in the bottom and it’s been a hit even with the neighborhood kids. We have a larger play room so we chose to set it up indoors.

The instructions on assembling are good and it only took us a little over 45 minutes to assemble it. It looks great in the yard too. It looks like decoration.
