I wish Cat & Jack would make more styles like this! It has that preppy look—not our kind of preppy (think polo shirts and boat shoes), but the kind that Gen Alpha calls preppy. You know, the vibe that involves Stanley cups, bubble braids, and strategically oversized sweatshirts. As a set, it reminds me of the high-end boutique brands you’d find in fancy kids’ stores, but at a Target price. Cat & Jack is hands down the best quality kids’ line at Target, but I usually skip their toddler section because the sizing is all over the place. When one size range covers everything from a 5-year-old to a 13-year-old, you end up with styles that are either too babyish for older kids or way too mature for toddlers. It’s a weird middle ground that makes shopping tricky. Also, it took me forever to find these matching pants (I initially added the hoodie to my cart, because that’s the real hero!). Target, if you’re listening—please make it easier to find the full set! If someone buys the top (or the bottoms), the matching piece should immediately pop up as a recommendation. Let’s make coordinated outfits easier for parents, not a full-on treasure hunt.
