The wood is decently sturdy but when I opened the packaged, the headboard was broken in a couple of places. I didn’t realize the pattern on the headboard was plastic, it seems a bit tacky. I opted to make it work bc I didn’t want to mess with having to return it, but I called target to ask for a refund/discount and sent them the pictures and only received 45 dollars off. Pretty disappointed in this purchase.

First bed arrived cracked. Returned and ordered a second. Second bed is beautiful, but the slats and support legs are not very strong. We are having to buy 2x4s to support the bed. We don't have a heavy mattress (Tuft & Needle) so I would not recommend this to anyone with a heavier mattress.

Bought this bed and I'm highly disappointed. The box came all smashed and torn open, there were missing hardware pieces, and the headboard has a crack in it. It almost feels like they sent me someone else's return. I also thought that this bed was all wood....the design on the headboard is plastic....yuck. I'm taking it back tomorrow. Was excited to finally get myself a nice bed, but I guess I will be looking elsewhere.

It arrived cracked so we ordered a replacement where they charged us more (since they did not add all the discounts) and it arrived cracked as well. We can't keep ordering them and returning them or throwing them away. We don't know what to do anymore because it is beautiful piece! Also the headboard is plastic as other reviews mentioned. That's the part that was broken when we got it.

This bed is real bargain. It is structurally very sound, well-designed, and looks as good as other more upscale beds we own. I was surprised to find that it has way more bed slats (triple more at least) than any other queen bed I've seen. The pieces are attached with dowels as well as screws which should help to ensure a long life of tight attachments. The assembly instructions were generally clear (on one side of a 9.5 x 11 sheet of paper) using mainly pictures. However, it was missing one clue that would have been helpful: the order to attach the parts within each of the sections, as it is only possible to do some steps in one way, if you are working alone. Otherwise, the assembly was relatively painless. At this price point, I probably shouldn't complain, but the branches in the headboard are not wood; they're painted plastic. Since that fact wasn't discoverable on the website, I'm sure Target would have easily allowed a return. However, we decided that we wanted to keep it and are glad we did. The delivery firm damaged a piece of the original shipment, but the five-star customer service at Target remedied everything quickly. This was only the second time that I have ordered from Target online, but now knowing how well they treat customers, I am likely to be a regular customer online and at their stores.
