I watched YouTube videos of this on QVC before I purchased it. I didn’t expect it to compare to kitchen aid but I was hoping it would meet my needs. I bought one to try and would need four more if it worked well. I received this today. Opening it, I noticed the attachments are quite cheap. These should be washed by hand. I think there would be more disappointment if you put them in the dishwasher. The shield and attachments do go on easily and the bowl twists off easily as well. When lifting the shaft, there is very little room to add dry ingredients as you go. And when pouring wet ingredients through the shield, they will not fully incorporate because the paddle and whisk can not reach the sides. How did I test this? I added 250 grams of baking soda to the bowl. I turned on the mixer, then I added a powdered colorant. (The colorant allowed me to see what is and is not mixing.) the colorant remained to the sides and didn’t incorporate. I had to constantly stop the mixer and use a gloved hand to get the colorant to move. Then I added an oil. Once again it stayed to the sides and I had to use my hand to make sure it was fully incorporated. Even when the mixture was fully wet it could not grab colorant. Meaning the attachments are too far from the sides. This may work better if you’re working with a dough or something sticky like a cake batter. My purposes are not dough and cake batter but more so dry ingredients and butters. It’s makes noise, because it has a motor. But it’s not loud to where you can’t have a conversation with someone next to you. Basically, it doesn’t sound like lawn equipment. It’s light and easy to manipulate if it needs to be moved from one spot to another. I have a heavy kitchen aid. It’s a lot to maneuver from one place to another. It does “almost” exactly what I need. So, that’s why I looked into this one. I really wanted to like this thing. It is a bit eye appealing as for as the body style. Just not appealing to my needs.
