Q: Can you use on glass top stove?

submitted by Farm girl - 4 months ago
  • A: Yes, the KitchenAid 9pc Ceramic Forged Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set is compatible with glass top stoves. The set features a sturdy aluminum construction that allows for even heat distribution, making it suitable for glass top cooking surfaces. Q: do the handles get hot?

submitted by Juli - 4 months ago
  • A: The lid handle gets very hot, and the (grab/pick up) handle gets warm, but be careful if cooking for a long time. After 15 minutes on medium low heat it was not too hot to pick up and move to another burner.

Q: Does the cookware stain? (i.e cooking red spaghetti sauce etc

submitted by TX cook - 3 months ago
  • A: The KitchenAid 9pc Ceramic Forged Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set features a ceramic nonstick coating, which is generally resistant to staining. However, cooking with highly pigmented foods, such as red spaghetti sauce, could still cause some discoloration over time, particularly if the cookware is not cleaned promptly after use. To minimize staining, it's recommended to clean the cookware soon after cooking, using a soft sponge or cloth to avoid damaging the nonstick surface. If stains do occur, using a mild baking soda paste or a non-abrasive cleaner can help restore the cookware's appearance.

Q: Does the white interior of pans get discolored and stained?

submitted by Sharon - 4 months ago
  • A: The white interior of the KitchenAid 9pc Ceramic Forged Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set can be more prone to discoloration and staining, especially from certain foods like tomato sauce, curry, or foods with high pigmentation. While the ceramic coating is designed to be nonstick and resistant to staining, over time, the white surface can show some discoloration, particularly if food is left on the cookware for extended periods or if it's not cleaned promptly. To minimize staining, it’s recommended to clean the cookware soon after use, using a soft sponge and mild dish soap. For stubborn stains, a paste of baking soda and water can help gently remove discoloration without damaging the coating.

Q: Will metal spatulas scratch the pans?

submitted by Marinak - 4 months ago
  • A: Using metal spatulas on the KitchenAid 9pc Ceramic Forged Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set can potentially scratch the surface. Although the ceramic coating is durable, it is still susceptible to damage from metal utensils. For the best care and to maintain the nonstick surface, it's recommended to use wooden, silicone, or plastic utensils. Metal utensils may cause scratches that can impact the cookware's performance and appearance over time.

Q: Do any lids also fit the frypans or saute pan?

submitted by Farm girl - 4 months ago
  • A: The stockpot lid fits the 3qt sauté pan well, and it fits the 10" frypan but not 100%, though not so badly anything will spatter outside the pan. None of the lids fit the 8" frypan.

Q: Do the handles get hot being they are metal?

submitted by - 4 months ago
  • A: Thank you for your inquiry. While all handles can get hot (depending on the heat settings used), it is important to note that everyone will have different sensitivities and tolerances for heat. With any handle material, we do recommend using potholders as a precaution. We hope this information is helpful.

Not even close to non-stick. Did lots of research before purchasing, not sure, but they are the worst pans I've used. My last set was ceramic as well and I've had no issues. Even after getting hot before using doesn't make them work good.

I bought these as a replacement for our non-stick coated pans that I just did not trust anymore. Three days in, and I am still shocked how quickly and evenly everything cooks! I’ve caramelized onions, made bacon, toasted spices, made sauces, and scrambled eggs so far and everything releases easily and without mess. These are great, lightweight, everyday pots and pans. Grab them, especially if you can get them on sale.

The heat distribution is even, it is nonstick and this feature is very important to me because I love steak that I will need the frying pan easy to clean and won’t hurt the coating after heavy oil cooking. And so far so good. Love this product.
