Nice meter

I bought this over a year ago to replace my CL 600 that had gone under water. I needed to be able measure DC current. It's a decent meter, especially for the price. Should be fine for home use. I don't think it has an option to be calibrated which pretty much prevents it from being used in an industrial environment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tool almost 5 years ago and it have been worthy every single penny. I can work with AC and DC current at anytime and anywhere. My fellas have Fluke which is expensive by the way and they are always looking to borrow my meter. If you are looking to buy a meter this buddy right here is your best option.

Can't calibrate leads

I bought some high quality leads and now a coil of 0.6 reads 0.0 like a short. There is no way to calibrate the leads. Other than that the meter works great as long as you dont damage you original leads.
I use it daily for over a year now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everyone in my shop uses the CL800. Some have upgraded from older Klein's. I like the probe clip on the side of the clamp and the available option of 2 styles of magnets. You can get ambient temp if you just touch the leads together or use the thermocouple if you need more precision. 2 complaints though, the leads have a tendancey of coming loose so sometimes you think your not getting a reading, I have gotten in the habit of tapping the connectors against my leg before testing. I wish they attached on the front. Also I wish there was storage clips on the back for the probes. My old cheap meter had that.
