Some people don't like whole oats, they can be too hard, but I love them. I eat these hot or cold (like muesli) and they taste great with a little sweetness.

    Proper Way to Make:

I think people lack the problem solving skills on how to make oatmeal in the microwave. I always add a little bit of more liquid than recommended because you have to keep in mind how microwaves work AND everyone's microwave is not the same voltage... Once oatmeal has cooked for its said amount of time (give or take away time depending on microwave voltage), and cover with a plate to let the moisture finish off the unfinished oats. Now if you notice your oatmeal dry when it comes out that should hint to you adding some more liquid eating it up for an additional 30 secs at first and then if not watery/milky, cover with a plate and let it sit for 3-5 minutes. That's what I do & have no issues.

Try cooking real oatmeal from scratch

I haven't tried it yet but I know I never will. I just don't understand oatmeal it should never be instant but at least the instant has hot boiling water for the regular Quaker oats packages and it sort of makes oatmeal. People need to get away from the instant society when you're getting up and getting dressed for breakfast and work and things it only takes 20 minutes to make real oatmeal from the real carton from the original oats and it bubbles up and it actually Cooks them so they're not chewy and they get a little creamy and then as kids my parents always added milk sugar cinnamon mostly and then if you want to add fruit you can make your own flavor. Then you don't have to pay a fortune and you could also get what they call quick oats they're just steel cut which means they're thinner you could actually microwave those and I buy a big carton for 99 cents. People please stop believing the hype from all these companies. Cook your oatmeal from scratch. And then you could even save it in your refrigerator my mom is to eat it cold out of the refrigerator make a slice and Fry hairs up in bacon fat when my dad made breakfast. us kids never like that but just letting you know there's other things you can do without meal. We ate our sticker because we're Scottish and we called it porridge. That's right that's what porridge is. We never called it oatmeal because that's the name of the grain when it's growing. But when you're cooking it from scratching a pot the more or less water you can make it any consistency you want and stop paying a fortune.

I love that the Kodiak Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal Power Cup is high in protein and fiber. But my goodness, why so much added sugar? Most people buying high-end power oatmeal cups are interested in eating less sugar. Can’t it be cut back to about 8 grams? It would taste so much better!

I really like this cup, I personally don’t have an issue cooking but sometimes it does get a bit watery if you add too much milk/water. I usually chop up a perfect bar and toss it in one of these with a protein drink for breakfast. It honestly hits the spot.

We recommend to add a little more water, stir and more time in the microwave. Take out and put in for more time depending on how you like the texture of your oats! Thank you for your feedback, we will be passing this along to our development team.

We are sorry to hear the oatmeal didn't quite hit the spot for you! We recommend to add a little water and a bit more time until your desired preference on how you like the texture of your oats is achieved. Thanks for the feedback!

We have been loving these in our house! Such a simple yummy way to get a quick protien packed breakfast in the morning. We typically add toppings like peanut butter and banana slices to ours. I'm still sometimes a little hungry after just one cup so I may add something to the side of my breakfast.

The microwave instructions are so far off on all these! You may as well be eating raw oats. 30 seconds? Who signed that off, please I’d like to know LOL. When trying to cook long enough to be edible the oatmeal overflows from the cup. This flavor is so incredibly bland as well.

30 to 45 seconds is definitely not enough time to cook these oats properly. They are still hard as a rock and very chewy. I had to cook mine for a minute and 30 seconds for it to be edible.

We love the pancake cups, but the oatmel cups are lacking. I follow the microwave directions and the oatmeal ends up bubbling over the sides of the cup and even after letting it sit, the oats are not fully cooked. The flavor is fine, but we won't be ordering them again.

I have tried several instant oatmeals over the years, and never liked the texture. Yeah, don't add as much liquid, and they will be thicker, but it all has a mouthfeel of mush because the oats are ground so small. The Kodiak brand has the larger oats, so if you prefer the smaller ones you won't like this because the larger pieces make it chewy, which I actually prefer. Comparing this to another brand, the flavor is much stronger, which also helps if you aren't a fan of oatmeal. I'll definitely be getting more, and prob going to try some of the mixes to make some banana muffins..

Loved this! I normally don’t like oatmeal as it tends to be mushy and the texture throws me off. This has a mix of soft and harder oats. The flavor is good without tasting overwhelmingly strong/synthetic. I can see how it might not be everyone’s favorite but I look forward to getting more.
