Q: My puppy is an AGGRESSIVE chewer, is this toy suitable? He is 10 months old and almost 100 pounds, we believe he is a lab/pit mix, but he must have something much bigger also.

A: The black KONG Extreme toys are specifically created with tough and aggressive chewers in mind, we would recommend a toy from this product line in an XXL size for your pup based on their description provided.

Q: Where is the rattle on the Kong turtle?
submitted by Bailey - 11 months ago
A: Hello, The Rattle should be located with the squeaker portion of the toy.

I thought I’d give this a try because it says Tough but she proved me wrong. It didn’t even last two days 😂.

We have a dog in the family that lives to chew and lick. This toy has lasted six months so far and he loves it! Everything is still intact!

I'm so confused! People say this isn't for aggressive dogs, but my bully breed couldn't chew through it. And someone said their dog got sick, but seriously? I'm a vet, and what they described is impossible.

Sturdier than most stuffed toys but my Aussie still had stuffing out by lunch on Christmas 😂 which was still better than the normal 5 minutes it usually takes them

Kelp has destroyed the arms on this thing in like 20 min… but it’s cute? Wouldn’t recommend for $10 though.

I dog sit so I have a variety of chewers visit. So far no one has destroyed this turtle! Even my GSD who chews a lot loves to play fetch with this but hasn't gutted it. Would buy again!

Advertised for long last play and made for chewers. Wrong. I got this toy for my 70lb boxer/pit mix and he had it destroyed within an hour. Complete waste and a huge mess. I’ll stick to BullyMake.

This toy made my dog deathly ill. On Christmas Eve, she got this as an early present, and by late that night she was clearly in distress throwing up and panting heavily. Christmas morning was a scene unlike any I’ve ever experienced with her- liquid heat from both ends almost nonstop. All day she was sick, and by nighttime when nothing was in her system anymore, she seemed to be better. The morning of the 26th, I gave her access to her toys again, and she chose this same one to chew on. Hours later, she’s back in the same condition- throwing up and spewing out her rear. All night we ran outside until she again had morning in her system. It got so bad, she started bleeding out of I’ll let you guess where. The next day after she had been able to rest and eat a little something, I called her vet to see what I should do and explained the situation. Their first question after I told them she hadn’t been anywhere new and hadn’t had access to get into anything was if I gave her a new toy or treat which would be this turtle. Their best guess is that this toy has been exposed to rat poison or a similar chemical, and each time I gave my dog this toy, I was exposing her to poison. Thanks Target! Thanks KONG! I’ve tried contacting the store over a dozen times and they don’t respond or answer their phones. Probably should show up and cause a scene, they might care then! Don’t buy this toy unless you want to unalive your pet.

My 9 month old Doberman enjoyed it. Maybe a little too much. Only lasted a day but he still enjoys playing with what’s left of it. Wish it was more durable.

Very disappointed. My 40lb dog was able to rip this apart in less than 5 minutes. I expected more from the Kong brand, which is why I selected this toy.

My pittie is a chewer and we've had this Turtle for over a month with no issues. There is a few random strings sticking out from the seam but nothing horrible. It's his favorite toy and constantly carrying it around and chewing on it.

Well, it is absolutely my dog‘s favorite toy, hands-down! And he wants me to tug with it and there’s not much to grab onto, but he constantly puts it in my lap and squeaks it.
Not "ballistic" material, but still tough!

My 60 lb pitbull puppy usually destroys plush toys in 5 mins. Like, rips them to shreds. This is day 2 with this toy, and although he has ripped into it already, it is definitely more durable than any other plush toy I’ve gotten him! I definitely recommend monitoring your pup when they play with this so they don’t swallow fluff, though :)
