Kristin Ess Claw Clip - Rectangular

I love this clip to death and have bought three of them, but only because they seem to break very easily? For $10 I wish it was a little more durable and didn’t fracture so easily.

I would previously give this claw clip 5 stars. I own one and it’s very strong and my hair doesn’t budge. However I just bought another one to have an extra, and I noticed this one is flimsy and it does not hold my hair. They must have changed something and it’s no longer as strong. The material feels much cheaper. I’ll have to return this one and just use the original one I have until it breaks unfortunately.

This clip is my lifeline - it sits flush against your head which makes it comfy to wear all day. For my thin hair girlies, BUY IT, its the perfect size so you don't have to keep readjusting your clip when it falls out.

I like the shape and color. The size and shape make it easy to hold my medium length normal hair and I love the square shape so when I lay my head back it’s nice and flat. HOWEVER this clip breaks so easily. This is easily my 4th one in the past two years bc they just one day snap on you. So be aware of that and carry maybe an extra hair tie just in case? Idk. Never happened to me with another brand. If you don’t mind the constant repurchase then do it. If not I’d definitely buy another brand

This claw clip is great. Very pretty in my brown hair with the color and pattern of the clip and holds it well. I've worn it every day for several years. I get compliments on it a lot.

This clip is my favorite, with the best hold for my hair!! I have elbow-length-fine/thin-straight-hair. However, after daily use and 3.5 months later, it cracked.. I will be purchasing again, I just wish it was cheaper than $10

On second clip and it consistently breaks.

I loved the look of this clip, but upon receiving it I realized it felt very cheap and plastic. It broke the first time I ever wore it right on the hinge. I have soft, medium length hair so I know it wasn't the weight of my hair that broke it. I had been wearing it for about an hour when I heard a click noise and felt my hair start to fall out of the clip.

One of my favorite clips. It’s lasted over year with occasional use. I have mid length wavy hair and it’s the perfect size.

Wow - I just saw that I've had this clip for two years, this has to be the longest I've ever used a claw clip without a single claw piece breaking off! I use it almost daily, sometimes only a few minutes at a time, but some days I wear it for 12 hours. It's gentle on the hair and scalp, but holds my hair in place perfectly. I like the size and the matte texture as well.

I have no idea who Kristin Ess is and I don't give a ! about "influencers"/who saw what on Instagram, but this clip is one of the best I've ever had. If you treat it right, it should last a good amount of time. It's been a year and two months, and in that time, the spring has separated from the clip twice, but I just fit the pin back into the hole and everything is good. The design is also very simple, which I think is what makes it great -- it's easy to grip, the pressure points are reinforced, and the teeth have not broken off the way other clips' have. I just noticed that the "tortoiseshell" pattern is actually some kind of layer that is starting to peel off the tips of the claws, with clear plastic undermeath, and the tips are also starting to chip a little bit. But I'll probably get at least another six months out of it. I think the price is worth it, given the amount of clips that haven't lasted half as long, for half the price. About to get a second one as backup.

I bought this back on January 16, 2023. Today, almost a year later on January 11, 2024, it broke and gave up the ghost 💔 I’m pleasantly surprised it lasted as long as it did with almost daily, constant use. It’s good quality, pretty, and a perfect size for my hair with a soft matte touch. I’m going to repurchase a few of these because I’m heartbroken without it and my other clips don’t fill the gap haha.

It doesn't matter is you have long or short hair, you need a clip that holds everything in place, this clip is the only one for me. Yes, it's expensive, but..it works.

This is a classic claw and what I needed

i've spent a stupid amount of money on hair claws and i always go back to using this one. i have long, thick hair and most hair claws just can't catch all of it effectively to last through the day or running errands or doing stuff around the house, unlike this one. i also like the matte, smooth texture and color of this clip, super simple and classy.
