Imagine a liquid mousse. I use this whenever I need to evenly distribute volume throughout the hair. I spray this on towel-dried, combed out hair and it instantly volumizes without weighing anything down. Leaves the hair looking shiny and full.
An easy-to-apply alternative for those who have trouble using a traditional mousse, but still want to add thickness and lasting hold after styling.
How to:
1. Apply to towel dried hair before blow drying.
2. Use 5-7 sprays from roots to ends, making sure you apply as evenly as possible.

A: I don't blow dry my hair and I really like this product - just kind of style my hair and let it air dry and fluff up with my fingers when dry

You can pair it with the Kristin Ess Hair Style Assist Blow Dry Mist for heat protection up to 450 degrees, just apply the Thickening Spray and any other stylers first, then use the Style Assist Blow Dry Mist as the last step in your routine to provide the heat protection before your blow dry. I love this product. I live by it every day. I have very fine, soft, straight hair that has zero volume and is very flat. Ever since I have started using this product my hair has lift and it feels thicker! I use this religiously every time I wash my hair. I like to let my hair become a little more damp than wet when I use it because I find I get even more volume that way. Just make sure you hold the bottle out a little further than spraying directly into your roots and you should avoid any crunchiness. It definitely adds texture, but I think it has to in order to give you volume. I also love the smell. I use this with Kristin Ess Working Texture Spray any time I want to *try* to curl my hair and it helps give my flat, fine hair some lift and volume. My coworkers the other day all said they thought I had thick hair naturally and I was shocked. The only thing I can attribute it to is the illusion of fullness from these products!

Another great Kristin Ess product hat is affordable and effective. I have naturally fine, soft hair so curls and texture don’t stay in place without the use of products. I notice a huge difference in my hair when I spray this in my wet hair, blow dry, then style with a curling iron. I use this with Kristin Ess texture spray and hairspray to help keep waves/curls in place.

My hair is thin and it’s thinning more each day! So I have tried everything to help give me a little volume. I finally found what I was looking for with this product. It’s not sticky, spray thru hair and work it around from roots out, blow dry and you have fuller hair! Best part is it stay fuller for 24 hrs. I even slept on mine and brushed it out the next day and it was still fuller than normal. Love this product and I never let myself run out!

I have fine, straight, color treated hair and don’t blow dry. This product is meant to be used before blow drying, but it has great results for me when I let my hair air dry. It’s easy to apply at the roots - the spray applicator is really nice - it’s accurate and doesn’t get clogged up. I also apply sparingly to the lengths of my hair - my hands do get a little sticky, but my hair only gets sticky if i apply too much. As it dries, it does get slightly crunchy, but I just keep brushing it out every once in a while until it’s completely dry. Once its dry, my hair feels nice and thick, its shiny, and it’s got a bit of heft to it - I love the way it hangs, it actually looks cleaner because it doesn’t stick together and get all stringy as the day goes on. I’ve been using this stuff for over a year. My local Target didn’t have it for a while so I had to try some other thickening products, but nothing is as good as this one.

I see a lot of negative reviews, but I think it’s because it’s not being used right! When the hair is wet you have to go light with the amount you apply! It will leave a slight residue, but all thickening sprays do. It adds so much volume and texture to my hair I love!!! And like all the other products it smells amazing

This product is almost a holy grail for me. Adds volume all over my hair, including but not limited to the roots, and is super easy to apply--i just spray all over before I brush and then blow dry. Crazy good price too, for how well it works. The volume sticks around for days.

This is alcohol spray. First ingredient it alcohol and another is rubbing alcohol. So it basically over dries the hair to add “volume”. After a few uses, it also just started to smell like alcohol. Going to try returning it.

i really liked the texture and finish that this spray left on my blow dried hair. my hair is straight and fine. it didn’t give a huge amount of lift, but it did give some lift. i used a finishing spray to add more lift after i finished blow drying. but i was really happy with how this made my hair look overall.
