Description

It's hard to contain my excitement over this one! I love how the micellar water gently washes away impurities while leaving your natural moisture intact. And I'm obsessed with the rich lather and how it never makes your scalp feel dry. You can use this on the finest, thinnest hair or the thickest, curliest hair and get the same perfect results.

How to:
1. Wet your hair, then create partings with the pointed tip and apply shampoo directly to scalp.
2. Massage it in to create a rich lather. Add a little water if needed.
3. Work shampoo through the middle and ends as you rinse it out. Repeat if necessary.
Tip: the perfect shampoo for alternating between one you already love and something a little more purifying.

Contains Zip-Up Technology (tm), our proprietary strengthening complex designed to "zip-up" split ends while targeting weak areas of the hair, smoothing the appearance of damaged cuticles and helping to protect hair from environmental stressors and color fade.

Q: Is this rinse free shampoo

submitted by MCL1972 - 5 months ago
  • A: Hello! Thank you for your question! No, the Scalp Purifying Micellar Shampoo is a rinse off shampoo, you do need to rinse it off your hair after using it in the shower, and follow with a conditioner to get the best results. This shampoo uses micellar water to gently lift dirt and product build-up to cleanse without stripping, leaving your natural moisture intact. Hope this helps!

Q: Two questions: will this work for post-partum dandruff? Also will this cause breakouts for those with oily skin?

submitted by spree - 3 years ago
  • A: Hello! Although the Micellar Shampoo is not specifically designed for those with dandruff, we have received a ton of great feedback from those who do. If you are concerned with any possible sensitivities with your skin, we highly suggest performing a spot test on your skin prior to using the product.

Q: HI! I have a condo with SUPER soft water, and can get regular shampoos or clarifying shampoos to fully rinse out - will this help with that?

submitted by sb - 4 years ago
  • A: Hello! Thanks for your question. Yes, the Micellar Shampoo should rinse out completely. We recommend applying the shampoo directly to the scalp (with the pointed tip) and then work the shampoo through the middle and ends as you rinse it out.

Q: Is this product good for build up associated with having hard water?

submitted by Catiedid43 - 5 years ago

Pros, I love the bottle applicator. My scalp felt so clean, my hair was so soft. But the hair loss.... Not to glob on to what so many are saying, but the hair loss is real. I noticed it from first use, but since I was using it only once or twice month for a scalp reset, I didn't think I needed to worry. But more hair came out every wash regardless of what shampoo I used in between. I've since stopped using. It and switched to a bar shampoo. I have thin but plentiful longish hair. I went from losing three giant golf balls sized hair wads to barely a blueberry size ball.

For a couple of months now I’ve been dealing with hair loss that has taken 30-40% of my hair, I even have bald spots. I’ve introduced more leafy greens to my diet, taken those very strong multi vitamins and went to the doctor to check my thyroid (I thought it must have been hormonal), after all this I realized it was the shampoo!! My husband used it once and a bunch of hair came out, that’s when I realized it must have been the shampoo. I first used it a couple of years ago with no issues so I didn’t really think that was the problem now but they must have changed the formula. Now I have a problem that will likely cost me a lot of money to fix and has my self esteem through the ground… I would not recommend this product to my worse enemy, it feels like they put Nair in it.

Absolutely do not recommend. Not sure if they changed the formula since 2020 or so, but my thick hair has thinned over the course of 3 months and I have a bald spot. Stopped using just now, and my hair is slowly growing back. Buyer Beware!!

Eh this is just okay to me. I used this as a clarifying shampoo for pick me up days when I feel my regular shampoo isn’t doing enough & need some help. At the time of using this, I had to use quite a bit of product in my hair as I had a pixie cut. I used up the whole bottle. I felt it helped a bit to reset my hair, but I also feel there are better options out there too. I’ve used a couple other clarifying shampoos & have liked those better. I probably wouldn’t buy this one again, but it works fine. Not a heavy duty one, if that’s what you need for your hair & scalp.

My hair is still oily and I lost volume. I have to wash every other day. I loveeee the purple Kristen Ess shampoo but wanted to try something for in between toning washes. I’m going to try the light pink one next!

This product has given me amazing results. My hair type is very wavy, high porosity. It tends to get very frizzy this time of year from all the humidity outside, and I also struggle with dandruff and an oily scalp. I have very sensitive skin/scalp also, and have hard water. A couple of washes with this product and my hair and scalp are feeling great. My scalp feels clean and healthy, my hair is lighter, bouncier and shinier. I will keep buying this. The fragrance is also nice, but I would love to have this in unscented simply because I am sensitive to strong scents.

I bought this for a family member with sensitive skin and it is one of the best clarifying shampoos that do not completely dry out your scalp. Excellent price found at your local drug store. Loads better than clarifying shampoos from more mainstream brands like Pantene

Gentle Clarifying Shampoo

I like to use a clarifying shampoo every couple of months. It helps when my favorite shampoos don't seem to be working as well. This gentle, clarifying hair wash uses micellar water to get my scalp super clean, while gently giving my hair and roots a re-set. My hair feels smooth and refreshed. It is also great before a keratin treatment or Brazilian Blowout.
