Kuhn Rikon Auto Safety Lid Lifter Can Opener

Awesome idea and I love the safe condition it leaves the can and lid, but it doesn’t last nearly as long as a normal can opener. And since I can’t see a way to sharpen it to keep it in service, it sadly will be taking up space in a landfill.

I received one of these several years ago for Christmas and I love it. Both of my granddaughters have requested one for Christmas this year.

This is the smoothest can opener I've ever used. Easy to turn. Works great.

Worked a few times and now it doesn't. Won't grip onto the can. Now what do I do? Can I get a refund or get a new one?

I've been on a quest for the perfect can opener for years. This is it. I have arthritis in my hands, and this one is easy for me to use. Best of all, it doesn't leave sharp edges. I love it!

The opener worked at first but then stopped. It couldn't open vacuum sealed lids.

Well it is it a great for the time that it works. Unfortunately the lid lifter doesn’t last as it is stressed and the metal is just set in plastic.

Love how this opens cans without any sharp edges on either the can or the device itself. Took me a while to figure out how to line up the device on the can but now it is easy to do.

Sadly doesn’t work well. Attempted to use this on two large cans of tomatoes. It didn’t remove the tops no matter how many times I positioned it and went around the cans. Metal shards all around the perimeter and forced me to go into my tool box for pliers and a pry bar to open both cans. I was expecting this to allow me to toss my old hand crank can opener but it is just as poor as this new Kuhn unit. Look elsewhere.

I had to look at a video to figure out how to use this but once I did that, I found this opener to be very good. It requires no physical effort to get it around and it does a great job removing the top of the can.

No sharp edges! This opener cuts along the seam, so the device stays clean and the lid doesn’t drop into the food. Very little hand strength is required to operate it. I meant to get one of these years ago, but didn’t until I saw them here at Lehman’s. Thanks for another great product!

I've used this and it's predecessor for many years and have never found a better opener. It has been a gift to my friends and my daughter's friends for years.

The how to use instructions are not easy to follow. I’ve not used this cam opener yet
