Yes, it tastes horrible but I wanted to share how I discovered to make taste minimal. I put about 2oz of grape juice and about 1-2 oz of lemon juice. The lemon semi neutralizes the taste. I try to throw it back in 1-2 swallows then rinse and gargle with water. Yeah, its a lot of work but you have to take many capsules to get 1G or more at a time

I so regret having bought this in powder form instead of a capsule. I wasted my money and space in my kitchen cabinet. The taste is so awful I can't stand it. I don't know if it's effective or good quality ... I'll give everything a one, I wish there was a "na" choice.

I received this product a few weeks ago and tried today for the first time.The taste was horrible.Tried to mix it with juice and it made it worse. I have been ordering from Swanson for a number of years and had never been disappointed. I will keep ordering because of your great products and price.

I read the reviews and thought surely i can take this stuff. The large L-Arginine 1000 mg pills are so huge they either get stuck half way down or I can feel it for a long time after. I thought the powder would be handy but have not figured out a way to disguise the taste yet. The smell is very nasty and the taste is also pretty bad. I do hope i can figure something out to be able to use it.

I had purchased L-arginine through another company but at three times the price. I was plesantly surprised at the effectiveness of the product I purchased from Swansons. Some people might have a hard time with the taste, however I mixed it my Vitamin C, and emergen-z packet and it goes down pretty good. I find that I sleep better at night, when I didn't before.

Argenine, an essential Amino Acid, is great for keeping heart and blood vessels in good shape -- it's the precursor to Nitric Oxide, which the body make! This Argenine is partilarly useful in thar one controls in what food they will use it. VERY Handy!

To all of the guys out there complaining about the taste.... Three times a day I get a bottle of water and put a packet of crystal light lemonade powder in it....I then add two (2) teaspoons of l-arginine to the bottle....mix and drink it down. It's not bad this way....and it helps knowing how effective this stuff is in making me feel better and perform MUCH better. It doesn't hurt that the ladies notice another benefit, also.

Before I bought this I did an internet search for how to make l-arginine powder taste better. I know it tastes bad and the only good stuff was expensive from GNC. So here is the trick. mix the powder with 1-2 oz of a colored berry juice and enough water to get a good disolve of the powder, I use cramberry. Then stir, the nice berry color will change to black sludge. Then add lemon juice (buy cheap stuff you will be using alot) until the color changes back. It takes me 2 -2.5 oz of lemon juice. The color won't be exact more like a creamy version of the original color. You don't need to sweeten it, but you can. What has happened is the akaline of the powder has been neutralized with the acid ot the juice.

I will normally find a way to get vile tasting things down, if they are beneficial. I tried everything, even just mixing with small amount of liquid and following with a strongly flavored "chaser". NOTHING is adequate to make this tolerable... I will take it as a handful of capsules in future. Unless you don't mind taking really awful stuff regularly, try another form. I wasted the money I paid for this.

but all L Arginine powders, no matter the brand, taste bad. If you're serious about getting the health benefits from this supplement, you'll figure out a way to get it down. I mix 2 teaspoons in a couple of ounces of water and just chug it down, then quickly drink another glass of plain water. I do not experience an aftertaste or any other negative side effects. It does what it promises and this brand is a good buy.
