I brought this for my 3year old for Christmas. And at first we could not get it out of the box. Now it comes out no problem. Fairy is rechargeable. Has a button on the back of her head. You can put the fairy in your hand hit the button and in a few seconds she will fly off. I question how long she will last but there has been nothing but screams of joy all day today! She was the star of Christmas gifts

Unfortunately this broke the same day we started using it. The flyer just goes out of the box and falls to the ground and stopped flying up. Also, good luck getting it to work. If you touch the box it wiggles and then does nothing. It’s the only thing my daughter wanted for Christmas and it was a huge bust.

We have a hard time getting it to open. It will shake, but then nothing. I have to keep trying so my daughter actually gets to play with it. Also, the first time we got it to fly, while my daughter was trying to keep it up, it cut her and now she’s scared to get too close. I don’t recommend.

My kids (ages 3 and 7) are obsessed with this toy, and they’ve been using it almost continuously since they received it on Christmas Day (almost 3 days now). We’ve replaced the batteries in the base, and the flyer is rechargeable (USB charge cord is included and hidden in a compartment inside the base). It has worked better than I expected. It does fly around kind of crazy sometimes, but we just closely watch it, and the kids have fun dodging it. It stops flying as soon as something touches it, so the kids use their toy lightsabers to gently tap when they want it to come down haha! I do question how sturdy the flyer is, and I expect it to break eventually. But with as much as they’ve already played with it, I feel like we’ve gotten our money’s worth already.

Most of these five star reviews were from free products, mine was not. The only reason I didn’t give it one star was because it is a cute toy with a cute idea but done poorly. My 10 and 4 year old got these for Christmas, right from the start it went poorly. At the initial time of opening the l.o.l. Flyers opened as they should and flew out. My four year olds flyer went up and then all of a sudden had a mind of its own and just flew to the left quickly out of control. The wings that spin on top to help them fly are SO sharp and spin SO fast that as the flyer flew left my daughter put her hand out ti block her face and the wings sliced her little hand. Not deep but we did need a band aid. So from the start she was already afraid of it from here on out. We put the flyer back in and opened it again this time my older daughter tried it. She got the hand of it by putting her hand underneath the flyer pushing it higher and higher but once again after a minute or so it had a mind of its own and it just started flying left and right on its own fast until it hit something in the room and fell on the floor. It’s a very unstable flyer that is very sharp. Unless you have a wide open space with no objects to bump in or go outside with it I don’t recommend this flyer at all, which is such a shame because we love the l.o.l. Brand. If the wings weren’t as sharp made of a different material or there was more co trim with the item I would give it a higher rating. Unfortunately that’s not the case.
