A: Hello mia! The La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Lip Balm does not leave a glossy finish. It has more of a matte, balm-like texture that's designed to soothe and protect dry, chapped lips. While it provides hydration and relief, it doesn't impart any shine or gloss.

Does it taste bad? Yes. Does it moisturize your lips without irritation? Yes! I, personally took off a star because of how pricy this is. It’s a tube so you will never be able to use every last bit. I just think it’s a bit expensive. But it’s very good. Like all La Roche posay.

The balm is very good on dry lips. It softens and comforts lips immediately. It is difficult to get it out of the tube and is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

This makes your lips smooth and softer but it does not make them look or feel moisturized if that makes sense. Definitely need something on top. Also I have to apply a lot to feel satisfied. It’s okay but wouldn’t buy again.

I haven’t tried this product, but since being diagnosed with numerous contact allergies, Laroche Jose has been my go to for replacing all of my products. I was ready to buy this for my lips because that’s where my problem showed up, unfortunately both of their lip balm’s have beeswax, which was my number one allergy. I guess I’m still on the search for something to heal my lips. Bummer.

Highly recommend this lip balm. Healing and hydrating and last for hours. My lips are chronically dry and this soothes them like nothing else. Do wish it was regularly in stock to add to my auto replenishment items. It’s that good!

I love this product but my one complaint is the tube. Because of the thickness of the product it can be difficult to get out of the tube. For anyone who has any hand issues, this is frustrating (especially because the product is so good!) A pot instead of a tube would be perfect.

I've been plagued with chapped lips for years and was getting self-conscious about it. I tried various brands of lip balms along the way but nothing seemed to help. I liked it but unfortunately my lips broke out when I used it. It was hydrating which is something I was looking for. I have cancer and the medications leave my mouth and lips extremely dry. Licking my lips make them even more dry and cracked. I have a lot of allergies so it is hard finding skin care products that work.

Cicaplast Lips by La Roche-Posay is an excellent product, especially for the colder months. I've used it before when I was in Peru, and it consistently delivers great results. It hydrates and soothes my lips, keeping them soft and nourished even in harsh, dry weather. I trust the La Roche-Posay brand even though my skin is sensitive, I really feel I can trust any product from this brand.

this is the greatest lip balm i’ve ever used BUT i wish the packaging was different. the tube is hard to squeeze and i feel like i don’t ever get enough with the applicator. i would love to see this in a different packaging option. this is why i did 4 instead of 5 stars. minus one for not great packaging
