Wow I absolutely love this rugged hard drive. Besides the obvious 2TB of storage space but it's also strong with the rubber case that protects it from drops and having stuff fall on it. I always take my hard drive with me when I go on vacation and I'm always worried that it's going to get damaged in transit but no worries anymore with this one. The Lacie Rugged Mini is the perfect mobile hard drive for everyday use or travel. It is extremely easy to set up and use. This works great with my HP laptop. It comes with everything you need including a USB 3.0 which is way faster than the 2.0. It definitely seems like it will last a long time and be extremely resilient to any kind of abuse it may endure. I love that it’s shock resistant for drops up to 4 feet, rain, and pressure resistant. We're using this as an additional hard drive for the Xbox. I love the soft padding around the case, the fast transfer speed, and the large capacity. Shock resistant, pressure resistant, rain resistant, protective aluminum shell and comes with a shock resistant rubber sleeve. Very easy to install and so easy to use. So much space for my pictures and other important files. This external hard drive is perfect. I'd definitely recommend the LaCie Rugged Mini 2TB all terrain mobile hard drive. I love the fact that this is compact and secure, as well as rugged and fast. I used to use multiple zip drives in my line of work, and I would lose them constantly, or they would get dust in them and become un-usable. This LaCie Rugged Mini 2 TB hard drive has replaced all of my ancillary storage devices, and done it in a way that I don't worry about throwing it in my briefcase to be banged around during travel. this external hard drive was just what I needed! With 2 tb, I can use this for a long time! I was able to save all of my pictures from Facebook, my phone, and my laptop, so I wouldn't lose them. I got this to finally back up my computer, which I've been meaning to do for a long time! I'm just using it as a basic computer backup (docs, photos, etc.), and it fits the bill perfectly. At 2TB, I can backup everything on my computer with plenty of space leftover. It's about the size of a cellphone, but thicker. I haven't tried dropping it or getting it wet, but it seems incredibly sturdy/protected. Supports USB 3.0, so pretty fast transfer speed! It gets the job done for me. Ordered this hard drive because it has been rated to have a superior build quality and life expectancy. At first i was blown away by all the specs, waterproof, drop proof etc. I am a marketing specialist so these specs blew me away as I have had drives fail in the past and wanted to avoid having to pay to recover data and the stress that comes with it. I love it!!!! I received it and plugged it into my pc, it fired up, got itself installed and I was blown away at the reaction times of the drive itself. I had another hard drive that even though it had hardly anything on it still took forever. The size of it is perfect. Drop it in your backpack, briefcase, purse or pocket and you are all set. With two ways to connect (usb or type c) I have my info within reach all the time. Its durable rubber exterior makes this beast of a hard drive a force to be reckoned with. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs or wants to have all their info handy at all times. I love this product and I am hooked! This little drive can hold a lot of data! The thing that surprised me the most was how fast transferring to this drive was, I copied almost my entire hard-drive in seconds. This comes with an orange rubber bumper around it to increase its durability. The bumper is removal but securely on so you don’t need to worry about it accidentally coming off. I’ve been using this as a backup drive and it’s been working great for that. I like the smaller size, it fits nicely in my fireproof safe. I received this and I LOVE it! I can store SOOO many photos on it. I was able to clear out my pc and now that runs so much better! I use it to store my photos and videos from my phone that I cannot keep as well. You cannot beat the amount of storage space you get with it. You also get a trial of adobe as well!
