I already have another rug like this which is white and grey, so I purchased this for my piano and the quality is very nice. I have not had much trouble with dirt, but small debris shows up easily so have your vacuum handy. Otherwise, this is nice, but I wouldn't recommend if you have pets and children that can easily make a mess...unless you don't mind the difficult cleaning between the raised portion.

I know it's white, but it gets incredibly dirty. I've had other white rugs in the past I've been able to scotchgard and keep relatively clean. This one was always dirty and always having to be cleaned, even after issuing a no shoe policy in the house. I don't have kids or dogs either.
