I purchased this for my 7th grader who has to carry a laptop to school along with her books. It was replacing a 5 year old Lands' End backpack that had held up well. The quality of this one is no where close! It became obvious how cheap it was after a month, when the seams were starting to pull apart. Now after 4 months, the flimsy nylon zipper has come apart and will not stay closed.

I usually pack in backpacks when I travel and this one is perfect. The padded pocket holds my laptop and tablet with charging cables. Spacious pocket for toiletries and smaller pockets for smaller items. And the pattern is so attractive!

We have been very big fans of the Lands Ends backpacks for our kids over the past several years. This year's update didn't work out as well. Within the first 2 weeks of school, my daughter told me one of the handles was falling off. Looking through other more recent reviews, this appears to be a pretty common issue this year. Unlucky for us, we bought these more than 90 days before school started, so we have to pay for the return which is a tad disappointing.

This was a purchase for my daughter. She reports that this backpack is very useful for carrying around all of her books. Her favorite feature is the small front pocket because store small books and items that might get lost in the big pocket.

I bought this backpack and the size is great but the handle broke after just a few uses. Lands End sent a replacement and that handle broke in a few days as well. This backpack cannot be hung on a hook at school. My son did not have anything very heavy in it to justify it breaking.

Purchased for my 7th grader and the hang loop handle ripped at one side...twice! I replaced with the same backpack and it too broke after 2 weeks of light use.

I bought this for my son because my daughter loves hers that we got 2 or 3 years ago. Unfortunately the current fabric quality is far thinner and the does not feel like it will be anywhere near as durable. We are returning this after 8+ years of being pleased with our previous Lands End backpack purchases.

My daughter was happy with the color and all of the pockets, but one of the straps has started to tear. She only carries a notebook and laptop in it and we had hoped it would have lasted at least the school year.

Upgraded to this bag for my oldest child. She loves all the zippers and pouches to store her books and binders and is thrilled with the color! Sadly the strap at the top of the bag tore within the first month of school. We are still able to use the backpack, but had hoped it would be sturdier and at least ast the school year.

I wish I can say that I bought this backpack for my kids but I bought it for myself. I’m a first grade teacher and was in need of a new work bag. I came across the extra large rainbow tech bag while purchasing backpacks for my three boys and fell in love with it. It has vibrant rainbow colors, super spacious pockets and a lot of them. I’m able to fit everything I need and then some. The straps are comfortable too. I’m happy with this purchase and so are my students.

My daughter and I both agree that this back pack is fantastic. It has a beautiful design, washes up like new, protects your laptop, while holding all your other school needs. In the past we have had a hard time making backpacks survive a full school year, not with Land's End! Decently priced.Would never buy anything else!
