    What happened? I used to love the iconic Lands' End Classic Canvas Tote. After ordering 6 totes for Christmas gifts this year, I was shocked and let-down with the change. The handles are thin, the bag is flimsy. I'm not sure what drove the switch for manufacturing this past year ... but you need to adjust and find a solution ASAP. Bring back the old version please!

    What a disappointment. These are not like the prior high quality bags. I bought as a present. It was embarrassing! The sides do not even stand up with the thin cheap fabric. Land's End needs to fix this as these bags are a trademark product.

    Had for two weeks and stitching is coming out. I would not recommend. If I would have read the review that was posted after my purchase I would have listened. Not worth it and not an easy fix at home. Got it customized so no way to replace. Disappointed.

    I love this bag so much so it hurts to say that I don't think I'll be able to repurchase. I use this as my everyday work bag and it took 2 months for the stitching to come undone. Since I personalized it, it's final sale and nothing can be done to fix it. Since the stitching is so thick I'm unable to repair it myself. Seems like a waste of money to try and replace it with the same item if this will most likely be the end result.

One of those few items you get these days and say yes! that’s what I hoped it would be!! Very rare these days with all the pricey but poor quality pretentious stuff! Wow! Wow! I am happy!! My go to now! My favorite for everything, work, cafe, library, travel!! This is it!! Wow!! I got both the large and extra large and was planning to return the XL one, but forget that! I am keeping both!!! I wish they’d also make one between them!! The L is 22 inches long, and the XL 26, is suggest one of 24, not quite XL, but also a bit larger than the L. But really WOW!! This is the best tote I’ve ever had, and to think it’s no where near the most expensive I have is just astounding! I have allsaints Jcrew etc! Nope! This is way better!! Quality is awesome, and the size is intuitive for me!! Love it!! I am finally really going to throw away the other crap!!

    Bought this bag as gift recently. I've had several over the years and they are great. All the interior pockets really make a difference especially if I have to carry a file or papers. I was disappointed the the new one I got as gift didn't have the little interior phone pocket that always makes my phone easy find even if I put inside the bag of safety. Still a great bag though

    Purchased this 1.5 years ago in size medium long handles with zipper top. Use it everyday for work and I love it. I’m a school nurse so I bought with red to match the health office. But I have to admit it gets dirt quick and there are holes starting in the bottom where the fabric is folded it goes from car to office where it hangs out til I go home. So I use it like a purse. Rarely once a month for meetings I use it to carry my laptop but I don’t actually use the inner laptop pocket for that. I expected better durability from it so I was willing to pay the price. But honestly it’s about average.

    I bought this about a month ago and loved it up until the bottom of the bag got slightly wet and now the color is bleeding all over the bag. I washed it following the care instructions and it only made it 10x worse. Disappointed because I really did want to love it.

    I’m obsessed with this bag! I got the medium size and it’s perfect for me to take to work. I love the zip top to keep all my things secure. If I were to buy again I would definitely get the long straps though. The regular length straps are fine but I feel it would be more comfortable with the long straps! Overall this is a great bag with lots of pockets and space. Super cute as well!

    Cute tote bag. It fits my laptop and I appreciate the pockets inside to help with organization. The straps are long enough to wear it as a shoulder bag. I got the zippered top version so my items won't spill out of my purse in the car. The pink flamingo is adorable! I do not care that my name is embroidered so LARGE! I feel like people will greet me at the airport because they can read my name from far away :-)

    I have 3 of these in multiple sizes, XL, L and M. I bought them some time ago... maybe 8 years. They are still stiff and stand up on their own. I was excited when LE started offering them in long handles because when full, the short handles won't go on your shoulder. I got my new one today, for my birthday present to myself. I am a bit disappointed in the new bag. The canvas isn't nearly as stiff as the old ones and won't stand up on it's own when empty. I haven't decided yet if I will keep it or send it back. I initially switched from Bean to LE because of the multiple pockets in the LE bag. Unfortunately, the quality isn't quite the same as it used to be. Still a nice bag, but won't stand on it's own. I kinda figured that would be the case when I saw the box it came in. Half the size of the bag.

    I bought the extra large, regular handle, open top bag in True Navy. Love the design and quality of the bag, but I’m disappointed in the True Navy color. To be fair, it’s exactly what it looks like in the first listing picture(very dark, lacking in color). I was hoping that in real life it would look like a traditional deep blue navy, but it looks like a faded black, grey blue at best. Will be returning. I took a picture of it compared to the black bag that I also ordered.
