    Bought as golf shorts for my husband to wear at the country club. It is very difficult to find long enough shorts and these fit the bill. But the weight is pretty heavy for warm weather, but the fabric is soft and comfortable. They wash up just fine and didn't seem to shrink much.

    Not true to size. I ordered a 32 for my husband and the waist measure 34. Land's End used to fit true too size but not any more. Tired of returning missized merchandise.

    My husband wears a size 32 and already owns a pair of Land's End's shorts in that size, which fits perfectly. This new pair looks nice, but is way too tight in the waist, even with the elastic comfort feature. I returned them and ordered a a different style of shorts in size 32 and they are way too large. The waist measures 34". I am returning them too. What has happened to Land's Ends' sizing!

    I have purchased numerous pairs of Lands End cotton shorts over the years; they are very comfortable and nice looking. But the darker colors--in particular the navy blue--start to fade around the pockets, fly and other edges after a couple of washes, even though I always wash the shorts in cold water and hang them to dry. The last pair I bought -- in navy-- faded excessively around the fly the first time I washed them and really are not wearable any longer, except for yard work. I will continue to buy these shorts but only in light colors (khaki, stone, etc.).
