Lands' End Men's Elastic Surcingle Belt

It was not as well made as I had expected from Lands End

Doesn't use a typical men's buckle. Requires the leather to go over and under the buckle which is a real pain as the leather is very thick and stiff. The old version of this belt was superior in quality and look with more refined leather and a better buckle.

Belt is a little tight

I’ve had this belt about a month now and I really like it. It’s working out exactly like I hoped it would. It’s offered in different colors; I may get another one in a different color.

A well made, slightly elastic belt, in a very usable color. No frills, but a very good, solid product that isn't cheaply made.

Nice belt but runs quite large. Would buy again but order at least one size, probably two sizes smaller.

I just bought the grey color belt. I have previously purchased the black, navy and khaki color versions of this same belt in earlier years. The grey belt has much less flexible leather ends that make fastening more difficult. Plus, I am concerned the leather will crack since it is so much more rigid than the belts I previously purchased. Was a lower quality leather used or was a process missed that would soften and condition the leather? It seems the quality has slipped since my early purchases of the other colors. I am deeply disappointed in the quality and may have to reconsider future purchases. This saddens me since I could always count on Lands End products to be of such superior quality. The fit is good. I ordered a 34. The range is 32 to 36 depending on which hole you use in the belt.

For some reason my waist keeps expanding and contracting. I love this belt as it always fits well no matter what waist size I am at the moment. I have the two others in the different colors.

I love the belt .Looks good with assorted colors of pants. Only, one problem, when you order the belt size, it runs SMALL. My pants waist dimension is 40 inches, thus I ordered a 40 inch belt. WRONG! Order the belt at least 2 inches longer than your waist dimension. When I put the 40 inch belt on my pants I can just barely get the belt to buckle into the first belt hole.

This makes my 12th purchase over the years. These belts are well made and last for a good while. I've tried all the colors except black. Very nice. I'll purchase again and highly recommend.

My husband has not ever had a belt with stretch, and he said this is very comfortable.

I really needed a couple of these belts as my original belts of this material had worn out and were beginning to tear and look awful. However, the material in the new belt is different from the original Surcingle belts I bought when they first came out about 3 years ago. Now the belts with the section having the holes in them are very firm and don't want to bend much , if at all. I bought the size 44 belts--3 of them as I wear size 44 shorts and pants with that size waist. My original belts were a size 44 and fit perfectly. These new ones are a size 44, but only fit to the first or second hole of the belt, not the 3rd or 4th hole like the original Surcingle belts. Since I'm sort of stuck with these new belts I am very disappointed the material in the section of the belt that has the holes. So, a 2 or possibly a 3 is the best I can give these newer Surcingle belts. I should have asked for size 45 or 46 inch belts if I had known how different these belts would be from the original size 44 Surcingle belt.

I just bought one of these belts for my husband; the last one lastest for ten years! I hope this one does, too

I bought this and it's too small, I need to exchange it for a larger size.Too Small

Fits tightly & comfortably as well as fashionable - goes with almost anything. Anybody who loves, appreciates or works with horses will love this belt!

I bought this a fe months ago and have found it to be a great summer belt.

This review is for three different versions of the same belt — black, navy and khaki. All are identical in quality and fit, and colors are true to the on-line images. Good products. These are excellent belts if you’re a “tweener”, like I am — in between two sizes. My best fit is an odd number size, but most trousers, jeans and shorts only come in even sizes, with 2” steps. If I go 1” smaller than my “wanna be” size, the clothes are too tight, the butt and legs are too snug, and nothing drapes correctly, or is comfortable. If I go 1” larger than my “wanna be” size, all those problems go away, but the pants won’t stay up properly — I’m always “hitching up my britches”. Using these belts solves the issue perfectly. I can make the belt tighter for more elastic squeeze, or looser for less, but still have comfortable pants, with a little “give” in the waist. It never squeezes so much that you suffer wrinkles around your waist or catcalls of “Hey buddy, get some pants that fit”. Just a nice, comforting snugness, with some give.

Didn’t realize Ive gained weight. The belt fits and Im a size larger than I ordered. 6ft 1 & 165lbs.
