Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

Height

Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.
Chest

Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.
Waist

With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.
Hip

Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.
Inseam

Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

It is easy to pull down without buttons or snaps. The length is perfect not too short or too long. Has shorts underneath and looks like a skirt. The fabric is so soft too. My daughter is a 5t and is tiny. The 5 fit her perfect with room to grow.

My daughter refuses to wear this skort because it’s uncomfortable. It’s not stretchy and has the zipper in the back… not ideal for a 7-year old. The ones from last year are better for the younger ones.

I’ve bought this for my five year old daughter several times. This is pretty short on her, so we go up one size and I cut the shorts out because once you get to a size 7 there’s a zipper in the back. It’s a little hard for her to zip up and down a back zipper and being able to remove shorts makes potty time less stressful. The attached shorts are also pretty small and annoying. The skort is so cute and doesn’t wrinkle, so we’ll keep buying these!

The skirt is very beautiful and the material is pretty sturdy. The only complain that I have is why the zipper is on the back and not on the side? This is part of my daughter’s school uniform and it is not easy for the little young girls to unzip and zip up on their backs. I wish Lands End would change the zipper spot to the side. Other than that we really like the skirt and recommend it.
