I've been purchasing the different versions of swim shorts for probably 12 years and have always been happy with the quality. I recently ordered several new pairs and the material has changed from my last order, less than a year ago. It's thinner and kind of a nylon feel. Not the same quality and feel. We'll see how they hold up.

I have been wearing 5" board shorts for years and years - always size 20W. I placed a recent order for a few new and replacement colors. It never occurred to me to try them on when they arrived - I just washed them and put them away. So, I was very surprised to put a pair on today to find that they are very small. I even tried on a few of my old pair to make sure it wasn't me; the old ones fit great. Needless to say, I am very disappointed.

They are cute shorts, but not if you are in between sizes. The seat was too tight, but the waist fit beautifully. The next size up would not be good either, as the problem would be reversed.

These are great swim shorts…..I own several pair. Sometimes the waistband can fade into a different shade (see pic), but not with all colors. Overall…great product!

Pockets turn inside out when swimming

I like that it's lightweight, dries easily and the length is perfect. However, the entrance to the pockets is too big making the pockets pretty useless for actually carrying anything you don't want to lose. When in the water, it is impossible to keep the pockets from turning inside out. I finally sewed the pockets shut.

These shorts run larger than the specified size. At first they seem to fit, but once you are in the pool and start swimming, they really stretch at the waist. There is a drawstring, but by the time you pull it tight enough, you end up with a large bunch of fabric around your waist. Not comfortable, or conducive to swimming! Buy a size smaller or you will be very unhappy with them. Lands End swim shorts used to run true to size, but I think for these, size L is really XL.
