Q: Hi. I'm going to use them on the long flight (in boxes) I'm worried the the plastic valve could come loose with the air pressure and deflate. Can you please help me thanks

The closure is a zipper strip, then the bags are rolled to compress the air out. These bags are designed to travel with you whether in the ground or in the air. submitted byAni - 1 year agoTarget staff supportA: Hi, I used these on an international trip in 2023. I packed a puffy knee length winter jacket and puffy outer vest in the large bag. It did not come loose at all. When I opened the bags at my destination, the clothes still retained the fresh laundry smell. I think these bags remain airtight. Follow the directions on how to roll them up and seal them.

First bought these for a long trip a few years ago. After returning home, I discovered how useful they were for storing sheet sets, towels and blankets for in the car, and many other uses. Having to buy more (again) because I have once again used all the ones on hand. These are super easy to use.

Not true compression bags. Even when rolled up it does not stay air tight. I loved the rook essential ones you used to carry but seems like they are no longer sold

These are great! Perfect for storing baby clothes as my babe grows into and out of them. Yes, they are not vacuum sealed bags. Idk why the description says that. They are compression bags. But they hold the seal well and feel sturdy.

I don’t really write reviews, but since the reviews for this product are so skewed, let me set the record. These bags are fantastic. I think the reviewers may have never used travel bags like these before and therefore do not understand how they work. Most bags like these have removable ‘zippers’ that cinch the bag shut. These, are attached to the bag and make it so much easier to close! I just returned from a trip to Europe with these and they worked fantastic. The bags are thick, perfect for a carry on suitcase, and never leaked once. They are a bit on the pricier side, but the value is there. Highly recommend!

These were perfect for packing for a 9-day vacation. It was so easy to roll the bag to compress it. I will not travel again with compression bags. They were large enough to hold quite a few summer outfits in one bag.

Several things about this online display are misleading. First, these bags are TINY. They hold very, very little. Second, they do not vacuum seal as the video shows; you have to remove the air yourself which, based on the “instructions,” is not even possible. To top it all off, the zipper closure is laughable. Go with the Ziploc brand. Don’t waste your money on these.

i bought these bc i’m bringing a bunch of clothes to my trip and got these bc i thought they would save me some space. i at least got another inch or two saved but not enough to show my family about. plus the packaging doesn’t really give clear instructions and it took me about 30 mins to figure out what to do. this product was 👎🏼

I specifically bought this for the vacuum valve. It came with 5 large ROLLING ONLY sealed bags. Now I'm stuck with them. Maybe make the description more clear?

We purchased a box of 5 compression bags for $20 at Target -- we didn't want the bags that require a vacuum cleaner becasuse we were going on a trip and wouldn't have a vacuum cleaner to re-seal the bag with. Well, we decided to test these compression bags and spent about a half hour trying each of the bags, with no success, until my husband finally ignored the "fill, zip, roll" instructions and decided to press most of the air out of the bag with his puffer jacket in it, then zipped it closed, then rolled it from the top of the bag toward the bottom. At first the little openings at the bottom didn't work, but after he kept pressing down on the bag while rolling it, they slowly opened up enough to slowly let out most of the air out of the compression bag. It was just too much work, plus they are too much money for what you get. I decided to test out a jumbo (not gallon size -- jumbo is bigger) zip lock bag -- I just put his puffer jacket in the zip lock bag, then half-way closed the zip-lock zipper, then pressed much of the air out, then rolled the bottom of the bag toward the half-way opened zip-lock zipper and zipped it closed when the air was out. It worked great! Small, affordable, and easy to pack!
