All our Laura's Lean Beef products are pre-packaged and shipped directly to Target distribution centers. From there they are distributed to Target stores across the country.

So I’m wondering if anyone else has had some questions about the color. Just read the label and it says color does not reflect freshness. I cooked it up and it has a very dark color to it. Like it’s been dyed red. Not gonna get from T again. Sorry.

Without the additional fat found in most meats, our beef typically cooks in 1/3 less time compared with high-fat commodity beef. Cooking past medium can lead to a decrease in moisture and a less tender texture. By avoiding cooking past medium the natural juices will be retained, which leads to both a more juicy and flavorful experience. We would like to give you a chance to try the product again. Best tasting ground beef I've had for a long time,I've tried other "good quality brands" but the smell were hideous while being cooked. Try Laura's brand you'll like it. Pricey but worth it.

The product was far from expired but had a very strong off odor. I’ve never smelt something like that before with ground beef. It didn’t seem to get much better as it was cooked. I was expecting a better quality product. Will not buy again or recommend.

This type of packaging does not allow the transfer of oxygen to the meat, and therefore, the meat odor builds up in the package. When the package is first opened and, the odor can be strong. The meat should be allowed to breathe for about 5 minutes (maximum). The odor should dissipate leaving no foul smell. Surprisingly good. Only bought because shelves are poorly stocked but it turned out that this product is a really good quality. Tender and no bone chips which can be a problem with other brands.

Target had this on the shelves 2 days past it’s sell by date (that’s on me, I should have checked more diligently) but the sell by date is not the best by date and when I opened it up the meat was ROTTEN. I can’t even return it because I don’t want to bring it in the car because of how bad it smells. Almost 8 dollars down the drain.

I’m not a blogger nor a partner of Laura’s. I’m just a mom of a large family who has purchased this meat for years with no regrets. It is a good high quality meat. Never smelled or tasted bad. I like that there is no fat to drain off and it tastes great.

This meat smelt sooo bad. It was not outdated. I refused to cook it and had to go to a grocery store to purchase. Will never buy meat from Target again :(

Laura's Lean ground beef is incredibly delicious, flavorful, and so lean. We have been so impressed by both the quality and taste of Laura's Lean ground beef, and we also love that it's hormone and antibiotic-free without compromsing the taste.
