My set was complete. The cans are thick cardboard with plastic lids. Durable just like the crayons by color collection. Two draw backs; some cards are too big and fit oddly and get bent when put in by me an adult so I can’t imagine my toddler not ruining those edges. Also some of the x cards don’t actually start with letter x…it’s fox, and taxi for example with underlined x. So I feel that will be difficult to explain to my kiddo Otherwise I’m happy with it, and we’ll play with these in sensory bin as we learn letters/sounds at home. Also forgot to add the letters in cans are all blue, even though the cans have different colors on them. Thought they should’ve matched for sure

This is so cute. My grandson loves them. We are using them to learn his letters and the sounds they make. The picture quality is great. I wish the cans were all plastic not cardboard, but they are sturdy. The lids are plastic.

This is the most interesting toy for my boy . 1.He Loves to open bottles and find surprise in it . 2. When he find something we are going to ask him some questions about it (what is it?, what colour is it ? , ask the name of this letter , etc.) So your child is going to speak and tell you what he see inside the bottle. Its perfect for children to speak . 3. Your child is starting to learn the letters . Its Realy LEARNGING toys
Not all items fit in the cans

Several items are too large to fit in the soup cans. Some fit if you place them sideways, but then if they flatten out, they get stuck in the bottom of the can. Since it is all cardboard, it is difficult to remove these items without damage.
Great for younger kids and older kids alike!

For the last several years, at Christmas, LR has given employees the opportunity to purchase products from EI and LR at a substantial discount. My grandchildren attend a local preschool, and I frequently took this opportunity to purchase $500 - $1,000 (list) in materials for the school. The Director and teachers were always so grateful to get the materials and remarked how engaging they were. Thank you Rick, Donald Collura, and LR. Carolyn Vanco

This set has made it through all 3 of my children. I home school my kids and have used it as a hands on way to learn beginning letter sounds of words. The pieces are made from a very thick cardboard that has really withstood heavy wear over time.
Brilliant for learning upper and lower case letters and soun

My two children (age 3 & 6) love this. We use it for eye spy games with the picture cards then they have to put the pictures in the correct soup tin and also to help learn letter sounds. They get very competitive when playing with this together! There are so many ways to use this game. Very educational and fun!

This item was back ordered for 2 months. When it finally arrived, it came with 2 "J" cans and no "P" can. Disappointed with the quality control.

I bring the soup sorters into my preschool class. They are perfect because we do a letter a week. I bring one can each week and my kids can't wait to see what is inside the soup can. We go over the letters and the objects that are in the can. I let them hold the different pieces and sometimes will make a game out of it. I do that by mixing the letters and objects and they put the objects into the correct can. It is a great and fun source to have in my classroom. The kids love it and they make learning fun.
Love these!

My daughter was born extremely early and have some developmental delays, mostly physically. She's currently at an adjusted age of 30 months and within one month she was able to recognize all the letters in the alphabet and most of the other cards. All my daughter does is shake the containers and say "Wanna Learn". I definitely recommend these!
