Q: How can I get coins out from the bottom/inside of the register?
submitted by Kristal - 3 years ago
A: Hi Kristal - I would suggest shaking the cash register; the coins should fall right out! :)

This cash register toy is a popular choice for imaginative play and educational purposes, helping children learn about money and math skills. It features a solar-powered calculator and realistic money, making it a great tool for pretend play. However, some guests have experienced issues with the durability of the calculator and the forceful opening of the drawer, which can cause coins to scatter. Despite these concerns, many find it a valuable addition to playtime.

Only 3 dollar bills spots, bur 4 different dollar values
3 out of 5 stars
A - 4 months ago, Verified purchaser
It's decent. The sound didn't work properly so I returned. However what I disliked most is that there are 4 different dollar bill values, ($1,$5,$10,$20) but only 3 spots to put them into. So you end up having to stack on top of each other. Which makes it difficult for being easily educational for kids.

This was a great buy for the price. I purchased the toy register for my 5 year old but both my 8 and 10 year old have joined in the make-believe fun. It comes with a decent amount of realistic looking coins and bills plus a debit card. The cash drawer slides in and out with ease. I foresee this being a popular toy in our house for a long time!

I bought this for my boys as they started learning about money, but unfortunately, the calculator stopped working. Even after replacing the batteries, the numbers still don't display properly.

Drawer opens too forcefully and coins fly out

The drawer flies open with such force that the coins go flying everywhere. For this reason, it's difficult to use and I don't like my kids using it, because I have to constantly clean up the coins.

Daughter got this as a gift on Christmas and two plays later, the drawer won't open. We tried removing the screws to pull out the drawer and check it but it doesn't come apart. So basically she got to play with her gift two times before it broke :(

My son loves mini brands and creates stores. This register is perfect for his imagination. I do wish it was a basic color as he will outgrow the preschool look of it soon.

So I Think - 3 years ago, Verified purchaser
I like it achieves its purpose of a register; however, I wish it had 4 slots to keep the dollar bills sorted instead of 3. We have to keep the 20’s beneath the 10’s and it’s inconvenient to make change with the bills being stuck together often. The drawer also pops out really fast where the coins fly out from the till so you always have to remember to stop it with your hand as you pop out the drawer. The solar function is nice so that we don’t have to buy batteries for it. So many toys cost so much from just buying batteries for them. This doesn’t. Lastly, wish it had a scanner that makes a beep sound to add to the grocery play experience. Overall, it’s a cash register we do use for our imaginary play but overpriced for what it is in my opinion. I would not buy again.

The drawer opens with too much force, and the coins fly out every time. It distracts from the educational potential of the product.

Gave this as a gift. Calculator worked for one week, then despite putting in good light, failed to work again. Unfortunately the recipient didn't tell me until a year had passed. The "Open All Hours" TV series had a register like this one - truculent.

My special needs son had an identical play cash register for many years. He never outgrew it, but it suffered from various mishaps, falls, etc. until impossible to duct tape it back together. Very glad still able to replace it. This is perfect and Target gave me a good deal.
Very sturdy.

Unfortunately I bought this for our Church nursery and have not had an opportunity for children to play with it due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. It seems very sturdy and it looks as if it will hold up well with lots of children playing with it. A friend says she had it in her preschool classroom and the children loved it.
