Description
Whoooooo's that adorable owl? It's Hoot the Fine Motor Owl, a wise addition to the collection of fine motor toys for toddlers from Learning Resources! Inspired by our bestselling Spike the Fine Motor Hedgehog, Hoot is here to help kids prepare for preschool success with four fun activities. Cuter than your average developmental toys, this fine motor skills owl is designed to build and strengthen the different areas of hand strength and coordination included in school readiness checklists. Kids practice pincer grip by spinning Hoot's eyes, build hand strength by squeaking Hoot's nose, and work on hand-eye coordination by dropping four coins into Hoot's slot. Once the coins are inside, use scissor skills to flap Hoot's wings and send the coins tumbling out his sides! It's a friendly twist on the usual fine motor games for kids! In addition to all of the fine motor fun, Hoot's coins also offers an introduction to color, shape, and number recognition skills, and store inside of Hoot's slot for easy clean-up.

The owl toy is a delightful educational tool designed to enhance fine motor skills in young children. It offers engaging activities like inserting coins and learning numbers, colors, and shapes. While many guests appreciate its educational value and cute design, some have noted issues with the durability of the wings and coins getting stuck. It's best suited for children aged 1-2 years.

It doesn’t work right. The wings rise as you load it. I threw it away. Don’t waste your money.

I love the idea of this sweet little owl. If only the wings stayed on during play and didn't flop off every time they get opened.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter really enjoys playing with this toy. She likes to put coins in the owl, and I like that it helps build fine motor skills. However, the slot is wide enough to put 2 coins in at once, and then they get stuck. The wings fall off fairly easily too. Both of these frustrate my daughter and make her likely to move on to a new toy.
So Cute!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Learning Resources Hoot The Fine Motor Owl as a free Trial for my opinion and my opinions are 100% my own. My 18 months old daughter was very intrigued with Learning Resources Hoot The Fine Motor Owl. She played with the colored coins as intended but had a hard time getting them out from under the wings. The wings popped off too easily. She never used the levers to open the wings to retrieve the coins as intended. She would just pop off the wings to retrieve the coins. She may still may be a bit too young for this toy. I would definitely recommend a children older than 2 at least.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the fact that I can teach my daughter the number. She can also learn skills such as grabbing and putting in designated places as well as colors. Only thing I would change is to add more numbers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like this cute owl but there were some issues. The ears where the coins come out kept coming off. It was hard for my daughter to push the buttons in to release the coins, so she would pull on the ears and they easily came off. She did have fun inserting the coins.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is excellent for a child during the developmental stages of fine motor skills. I love that it is easy to play with and understand but it may be better suited for a small child(1-2 years)as my 3 year old became uninterested fairly quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have really enjoyed the toy! It's not flashy but that's one of the things I like about it. Finding a toy with no batteries is a pretty rare thing. My 2 year old has enjoyed this toy the most. He loves to put the coins inside and watch them come out when pulling the trigger. Even my 1 year old who is below the recommended age likes to turn the eyes and press the nose. My main complaint would be the coins often get jammed inside and require an adult to get them out. Overall, I highly recommend this toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must say I fell in love with this little owl. So did my children aged 9 months , 3 and 5. This owl is entertaining and taught my 9 month old a motor skill. It also have numbers in the little chips and colors. The only problem is the quality of the owl wings they are easy to pull off and after a couple of pull offs the quality is bad. Other than that I love it. So easy to assemble.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy is great that it starts building fine motor scissor skills. Also picking up the different types of coins helps with pinching. I love this toy and so does my girl. Perfect for a 2 year old

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Teaches numbers, colors, and scissor actions. Improves knowledge and fine motor skills. Love the bright colors but durability needs to improve. Unfortunately I have to pop the movable wings back on frequently but she loves playing with it.
