My grandson loves building things and creating all sorts of interesting designs and things. This set does not feed that creativity. Limited things you can do with it and the pieces are difficult to attach.

Great gift if you want your toddler to polish their fine motor skills. It promote creativity and the best part is, it's sturdy and durable. It's a lifetime investment that will keep your kids engaged for hours, not just toddlers but even adults! Satisfying to the eyes when you finally get to spin it. I like how bright the colours are! Worth every penny!
Very happy with the product.

Brought this for our three year old Grandson. He enjoys putting the pieces together and turning the cogs. This looks like something he will explore and use in different ways.

I purchased for my 2 year old granddaughter to go with her kitchen for Christmas. She loves them. They are just the right size for her. The colors are cute and she loves the cooking utensils that she can hang on her kitchen.

Just gave these to our twin 2-year-old granddaughters. I did a lot of research, and chose these baskets of play food - I'm so glad I did. They are quality! Heavy duty and very realistic. The girls also love to use the three baskets - so versatile.

We love our gears!!! Great tool for motor skills. Really makes them problem solve and use critical thinking. It is extremely durable and sometime a little tricky for their little hands to take apart but I would rather have that then it not be sturdy and fall apart. I think it's amazing the different ways I can build to make it a spinning tower or just a flat board of spinning gears. You can also challenge them by telling them only certain colors can go horizontal or vertical so they can problem solve their way through it or just let them have fun of their own.

I played with my step grandchildren (4.5 years) and she was not able to do it at first. Then after we build one, she got lots of fun building more on her own. It was FUN to see her use her IMAGINATION to build her own ideas. You can use it indoors or outdoors.

These are so fun and great for learning and creativity. My daughter loves to build things with her gears. We value education in our household, so any toy that stimulates the mind and makes our daughter think is great. This one is up there with one of the best!

We received this as a gift and I think I love it as much as my son. I wasn't sure at first what to think of it but as soon as we set some up and starting turning the crank, we were both hooked. It is mesmerizing to watch and create. We are excited to build on with other kits, too! But, clicking the base pieces together is a little bit challenging and holding the base still while turning the crank can be tough. It's hard to not touch gears while holding the base steady, so you can end up stopping the whole thing from working. I'm sure as kids are older, they can solve the problem. But my 3.5 year old has me hold it down while he cranks the handle at full speed to his total delight.

I had a gears toy in a previous classroom and was excited to find this set at a garage sale and bring it into my new classroom. When I took the pieces out to test them I was so disappointed to find how difficult they were to put together. The old set I had was very easy to put together but I think it was from a different company. So it's not a total loss, I may put together the green base pieces and put them out with the gears only.

I practiced building with this set before introducing it to my students for the school year. The base pieces especially were difficult, some of them I couldn't even make fit unless I forced them! Taking the pieces apart was difficult, too.

I received this as a gift to use in my church nursery education program. I played with a toy similar to this when I was 4 and I'm thrilled that my Sunday school kids will have this experience. My mom, who got it for me, thinks asked for it for myself, which is partly true. I love it and I know the kids will too.

Grand kid loved it. Took to it right away. He loves gears. The only complaint I have is there were not enough of the six way axles to build the zig zag stairs pictured on the box. Other than that it is great!
