I like the concept of the build. I like the mechanics of the submarine arm. I like the internal compartments of the submarine. My only issue is with the minifigs. They dont look like divers because they dont have human proportions. At this point all they are doing is driving up the cost of the set. Overall I am happy with my purchase, and I would still recommend the set.

This kit ends up being larger than you might initially think. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the submarine. You don't get to many underwater subs for city so it's nice to see. There aren't many stickers either. The rubberbands are easy to put on and make the claws functional. My only gripe is that when assembling the broken ship sea bed portion it got annoying. There were several steps that could and should have been done first that would have made placing the skeleton much easier then waiting till you had the large rock pieces in place and having to squeeze your fingers in there. That could have been better. It's not a cheap kit, but I feel like you will get your money's worth with it. It's unique for a City build and it comes with glow in the dark fish so what's not to like?

I built the sub and it was simple and fun to do, however when I opened the ocean pieces 2 of the main large pieces were missing, so now I am waiting for a 3rd party to ship me replacement parts to finish. Not fun!

I got this because of the Lego sharks, but the entire build was interesting. There is plenty of imaginative play to go other marine exploration sets.

What a great set! The build was fun and lots of play value. Was bigger than I thought but has a full interior and the “shark infested waters” side build it amazing. Goes well with my Explorer Diving Boat. A must buy!
Excellent

Me and my son love this! The build was perfectly challenging for a seven year old. I love the sharks, my son loves the claws and glow in the dark fish! Can’t praise it enough. We have so many ideas for stories and builds that stem from this set.

Just finished my second playthrough of Subnautica, so when I saw this set on sale- I had to grab it! Overall, it's a great set with a sleek Sub build and nicely detailed shipwreck. My only dislikes are that the mini mech leaves a bit to be desired, and there are no glowing elements in the jellyfish. When I saw that the fish glow, I hoped that the tendrils of the jellies might do the same. Maybe the glow material doesn't lend itself to these tendril pieces structurally, but a simple glowing stud under the top dish in each jelly would make a huge difference. I added several glow studs I had as extras to the jellies, and I think they add a lot! The jellyfish builds are great, but missing that glow aspect to be perfect. I hope to see these jellyfish again in future sets with this change. Again, I love this set, and definitely recommend picking one up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 year old and I built this over the weekend and it did take quite awhile to build because there are a lot of pieces. The directions were easy to follow which was helpful. After it was done we were so proud we both put it together it is an amazing set and my son loves it. I would definitely recommend if you have the time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with this Lego City Deep Sea Explorer set! The submarine has some pretty cool features, including grab claws to grab underwater sea samples to examine. Love how creative the sunken ship wreck is, very cool build with added sharks that rotate around the ship. Fun set to put together, and great addition to my Lego City sets. Keeps the creativity and imaginations flowing with hands on play and STEM.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a pretty spectacular set for young boys. My son was absolutely thrilled with it and had spent hours playing. It includes a lot of pieces and was one of the harder builds that we have done together. The attention to detail in the piece in unparalleled. I love all the intricate details. I would gladly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Saving this for Christmas! My 4 year of does 7 year old Lego kits already but there are so many pieces in this one I will wait another year or two before giving it to her. Looks really cool though. Almost want to make it for myself and then take it apart to put back in box for next year haha

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This LEGO submarine set is incredible! I recently got it for my son who seems to absolutely love Legos as he gets older. The age range for this set seems spot on as it presented a challenge for him to assemble, but was something that he could complete with little guidance from me. The finished product is awesome and he couldn't be more proud. This is one of the coolest LEGO sets that he's put together so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lego kit was perfect for my 7 year old. I thought that this set would be a little difficult for him but it wasn't at all. The instructions were very clear and I really like that the set has different bags of lego pieces. The instructions have you build one bag at a time. The set took us a few hours to build but we built everything over a few days. Once built it really encourages imagination play since some of the pieces move around, like the sharks. This is probably the coolest set we've built so far and my son is already looking at other similar sets. I think this is a great Lego set and encourages imagination play and the process of building something.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is 842 piece, but it was fairly easy build. Comes with two books to help with the build.comes with a submarine book. And a shark cove .bags of Legos are numbered. So it helps to know which Lego go where. It has be a big hit here, kids love it. There are men sub . And shark cove. Which the sharks on top spin around . Lot of exploring.
Really Fun Build!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter and I built this kit together. I was one of the most enjoyable builds we ever done. It had some really cool details. The submarine was our favorite piece. The hatch on top and the dome on the front of the sub hinges open. The smaller propellers on the back end pivot up and down.
