Super powerful, great price, screen, kinda heavy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would 100% buy this again. Great performance to price ratio, and well engineered. I can do intense things on my pc and it never lags - great thermals. I love the large accurate screen. Only downside is slightly heavy, but you can't get a lighter one without compromises on either performance or price. To me an extra $700 to be lighter wasn't worth it, but it is the only thing not perfect.

Well built, powerful laptop with meh battery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of the laptop is clear from the get-go. This laptop will last you a long time. I highly recommend with only a few caveats: 1. The charging brick is much larger than you'd expect. Make sure you are aware of that going in. 2. With a wider body, it can sometimes be hard to find backpacks that fit it. 3. The battery life is decidedly meh.

    Love it but expensive repair

The laptop has awesome performance. I enjoyed gaming on this machine for about 1 year and couple of months. After that the screen stopped working. I have given it for repairs, the replacement screen is very expensive, in my case I have to pay for it.

    Awesome computer, great display

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I returned another brand's 16:10 gaming laptop and got this instead. 100% the best decision I made. The 400 nit peak brightness is amazing to use, I wouldn't be able to go back to the 250 nits the other laptop had. This is HDR400 capable and looks great. Having most of the ports on the rear works very well to keep your set up neat. The best thing about this laptop is the USB-C power delivery. That lets this laptop be a gaming beast at home but still a viable laptop to bring to class. I use a 45W chromebook charger and it keeps it charged for web browsing. The other laptop was difficult to open since the lid was completely flush with the bottom. This laptop has a place to lift the lid up, and the hinge feels very solid. The bottom screws were unfortunately very difficult to remove, and multiple clips broke when I tried to gently remove the bottom to install another SSD. The screws were also so difficult to unscrew that it took me nearly 30 minutes to get them out. If it is meant to be user upgradeable, why is it near impossible to access the motherboard without breaking clips?

    Fast machine, questionable chassis

    2 out of 5 stars

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've loved using this machine, from everyday browsing to high-demand software and gaming. Unfortunately, several plastic chassis case components have been very fragile. Within a month, it developed a hairline crack on the keyboard body panel going from the left hinge to the Esc key. A week later, it developed a similar crack on the tiny piece of plastic up from the rear ethernet port. Unfortunately, warranty support says it is considered cosmetic damage and not covered by either my original warranty or the accidental damage warranty.

Legion 5 Pro Gen 7 AM 16" with RTX 3070TI

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is actually a review for the Legion 5 Pro Gen 7 AM 16" with RTX 3070 TI Primary usage is gaming and some work. Build quality is VERY good. Case is primarily aluminum, and screams quality. The screen opens/closes easily. Keyboard has nice feel. This is first time I have used an AMD Ryzen processor, and the battery life is good, even while gaming. Gaming Performance is VERY GOOD. So far the RTX 3070TI handles everything that has been thrown at it. The 16" screen supports 2560 x 1600 resolution, and its 500 nit brightness is wonderful. I highly recommend this Lenovo, and would purchase another in a heartbeat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Legion 5 Pro is a great machine. Works fast, screen resolution is superior. My only complaint is that the fans can be a bit loud, particularly when stressing the laptop and while plugged in simultaneously, otherwise I am very happy with my purchase thus far.

It has a 3070Ti Graphics Card

    originally posted on lenovo.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had about a month to play around with this gaming laptop and it does impress. I won't go over specs as that can be looked up on the Lenovo website, so I will focus on what I think people may want to know about this laptop: 1) Mine comes with 2 NVME PCIE 1 TB SSD's. They are not in Raid 0 so each is mutually exclusive from the other. Most manufacturers will automatically make this a Raid 0, but thankfully Lenovo chose to let the consumer make that choice. 2) This machine plays any game at maximum levels with no slowdowns or picture blurs due ti refresh rate. You will be very happy as a gamer using this machine. 3) It can get very warm when playing a graphics-heavy game for a period of time. If you had this on your lap, it would be uncomfortable, but then again, what gamer actually places their laptop on their lap to play? The temperature never ever got high enough to the point where the CPU was throttled so yes, this is a gaming machine. It is important that you always use a cooling fan (one that has 3 to 5 fans) with a gaming laptop to help with heat dissipation. Also, when the fan does kick on to high to keep the computer cool, it is audible yes but not bothersome. You can also crank the volume up to and you won't hear it. 4) I don't like that some USB A and C ports are located on the back of the machine. It's okay to have the power, ethernet adapter and HDMI at the back, but USB ports should always be on the side. This way, when you plug something in, you don't have to close the lid to do so and then re-open it. This design will tempt you to get a USB hub which I did from Lenovo. 5) The display is awesome! I am not going into all those technical specs like some professional reviews do. From a gamer's standpoint, the screen will not disappoint. 6) This is the first 16" laptop that I have bought. My previous laptops were 17-17.3". Does that 1-1.3 inch make a difference? Yes, at first, but once you start using it (and your brain adjusts from the 17" to the 16"), you will get used to it. Now, would I buy another 16" laptop? No. I miss that extra 1 inch from the sides. 7) I am not to thrilled about the keyboard. The keys are too small for me. BUT, as a gamer, you never use the actual laptop keyboard anyways. You always buy a USB mechanical keyboard and a mouse. 8) Battery life? Don't even worry about it. Its a gaming laptop so you should always keep it plugged in. Also, VERY IMPORTANT: there is a battery setting in the MyLenovo application that lets you set the maximum capacity of the battery to 80%. This means that at 80%, the battery will stop charging and will only charge up to 80%. This will prolong the life of your battery. 9) I don't know why laptop manufacturers make it so difficult to access the back of the laptop so you can change the RAM or SSD or reapply thermal paste. This laptop is no exception to that rule, however, I won't have to do any of that since I have 2 TB of SSD and 32 Gigs of RAM.

Very pleased with not just the performance but also build quality and aesthetic. Can turn off RGB keyboard and bring to worksite without looking like a gaming laptop.

It seems that sometimes the screen will freeze but then using the ctrl + shft + Windows key + D will fix it. I also had to uninstall the keyboard drivers because there was a delay in the keystrokes. After doing that the laptop has run great. It plays games extremely well and is a great addition to my tech collection.
