Summary of reviews
This keyboard is praised for its compact design, making it ideal for saving desk space. Guests appreciate its thin and lightweight build, pleasant typing experience, and the inclusion of the trackpoint, which is highly valued. However, some guests noted the lack of backlighting and indicator LEDs, and the swapped Fn and Ctrl keys. Overall, it is recommended for those who want a reliable, space-saving keyboard with a trackpoint.

I love this keyboard. My old was damaged by someone else and I was so glad to find and purchase a new one as a replacement.
Great keyboard, with one showstopper

Got this external keyboard to go with excellent P1 Gen 7 laptop when docked. It feels similar to Thinkpad keyboard, with the unique Trackpoint. I really wanted to like it, but has one showstopper for me. The CTRL and Function keys are in the right place on the laptop, but this keyboard has the two keys swapped in the bad placement. I could not find way to change external keyboard in bios. If it were proper ANSI standard it would be full 5 stars.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I use a Lenovo P1 laptop and I was looking for a keyboard that I can use when my laptop is docked. I spent a lot of money on other gaming type keyboards but in the end I found this one to be the best overall. I highly recommend it specifically if you regularly switch from a laptop. I chose the wired one because I am using it with a KVM as well.

Great keyboard, poor USB cable connector choice

High quality construction, very sturdy without being heavy. Mechanical action of the keys is great, trackpoint works well. The thing that disappointed me (and the reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 5) is that the cable connects to the keyboard with a flimsy fragile USB micro-B connector; I am confident that this unnecessarily tiny, fussy connector will be the eventual failure point of this product. Also, there is no LED to show caps lock status (but there is one to show power status).

The perfect compact keyboard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a compact USB keyboard for use with rackmount server consoles. This is perfect because the TrackPoint on the keyboard means I do not need to connect a separate mouse which frees up a USB port.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great keyboard that doesn't take up a lot of desk space. It's very thin, light, and pleasant to type on. And of course the trackpoint is arguably the greatest aspect of this keyboard.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Arrived surprisingly quickly. First, some drawbacks. As with other ThinkPad keyboards, Fn and Ctrl are swapped. If you have a Windows machine, it's possible to switch the keymappings by making a couple changes to the firmware updator in a hex editor (there are some convenient online ones). For details, see github/lentinj/tp-compact-keyboard issue #32, federvieh's Sept. 5, 2020 comment. The keyboard also doesn't have indicator LEDs for function lock or caps lock, and there is no backlight. Sometimes when holding down middle-click to scroll, it pastes (as Linux does when you press the middle mouse button), but you can kind of make it snap out of it by unplugging it and plugging it back in. Personally I find this an acceptable trade-off for the convenience of middle-click-to-paste, but other Linux users have created workarounds you can look up. With that out of the way, it's a perfectly fine keyboard that is pleasant and efficient to use. The keys are clicky but still quiet, and everything else is where you'd expect. Changing the TrackPoint speed/acceleration is surprisingly easy on Linux since the computer simply sees it as a plugged-in mouse; you can just configure it in your OS's mouse settings. I mostly use it to type and browse, but have also successfully played Minecraft and done some light image editing with the TrackPoint. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to ditch the mouse and save on desk space, and doesn't mind making a few…unofficial adjustments. The USB connection allows you to use it to enter and navigate the BIOS/UEFI (before a wireless keyboard would be detected), which is handy for anyone who finds themselves in that situation often.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you enjoy using the keyboard on a ThinkPad but have a separate computer (laptop or otherwise) that you'd like to experience the same experience with, then get this keyboard. It's nice having the trackpad at your fingertips without having to switch to a mouse for quick movements. The more you use it, the more natural it becomes as an option. It's also pretty thin, so would be easy to transport if need be.
Its ok.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Flimsy and bows in the middle if its on its legs, but it types nice enough. Also the Red track-point comes off too easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Though I've been a Mac user for decades, I've always had a soft spot for the old IBM ThinkPad laptop that I used for work. Later, when Lenovo took over that line, my laptop was updated and it was just as good, if not better, than the IBM keyboard. When I saw that this was available, I leapt at the opportunity to acquire it. I'm glad I did. This keyboard is a joy to use, has superb tactile response and the addition of the "red knob" is a boon. It provides all the benefits of the laptop keyboard, yet for my Mac Mini. Can't recommend this enough.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Overall, it's an amazing keyboard and does what it says. At a first glance, it seemed very small and lightweight to handle the daily workload, but after using it for a couple of weeks or so, I can easily say it's a high quality keyboard that can handle the daily workload without breaking a sweat. The only reason why it doesn't get 5 stars: backlit would have been great and a couple of keys (Fn, Ctrl) requires quite a bit of time getting used to due to the positioning. Overall, it's a highly recommended keyboard with the built-in trackpoint.

Lenovo bought the rights to the AMAZING IBM keyboard - the best in the computer world - and instead decided to go trendy with Chiclet-style keyboards - which is fine, but you should make a classic version available as well. There is LESS travel and I find this design activates my RSI - fingertips get sore. One of my most-used keys is gone - the lower right key that allowed me to "go back" on a browser - now I have to hit a keyboard combo. I instead found a used classic but they are very rare and very expensive.
