Book Synopsis
This book is about the grit that fills the continuous grieving process and how our God can use the hurt and weakness of grief for His glory, how He is with us and faithful to use all things for good. Having been a daddy's girl for a long time, losing my dad to cancer absolutely wrecked me. I then watched grief wreak havoc on my loved ones and dear friends as they lost family members to illness, accidents, and mental health crises'. It became evident that grief was experienced by all of us yet talked about by so few. As I got saved my freshman year of college, God moved in big ways to turn my mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). God brought me back to life, and He used prayer, gratitude journaling, and, most importantly, a deep love and relationship with Him to do it. I have since prayed He would do the same with so many people, and He has done it time and time again. God put it on my heart to find a way to reach out to the grieving hearts using the gifts He had bestowed upon me. Faithfully, He has established my steps to bring this book to fruition for just that. Grief is a wound that never closes. My heart still aches day in and day out, but it now walks hand in hand with the joy of the Lord.
This book provides an opportunity for those who are hurting and lost to look to the Lord for a little extra guidance. Staying true to your faith, coming into a new life in Christ, or even reigniting the flame that once burned so bright in the wake of such tragedies can be challenging and intimidating. This way, we all get to walk together, even if we're far apart. After all, we're all just walking each other home.
