It’s simple to use and via USB-C you can plug it into your smartphone and record videos directly to the SSD which makes shooting in 4K a breeze. Unfortunately this is not compatible with IPhone. Granted, the product does not claim that it is - it only lists windows, Mac OS, android, and compatible usb-c devices, so that’s on me. That said, it’s still a very cool little small format drive with a ton of storage. Very nice design, feels quality and works great with my PC. The magnet case is also a nice touch if you have an android phone. It is a little bit of a weak hold through my iPhone case, and it’s just a thin plastic case not one of these bulletproof waterproof ones.

Once connected my laptop recognized it instantly. Transferring files was quick and easy. The only thing I did not like was the magnet. It did not hold the drive to the laptop very well.

Perfect for my android phone the c cable is great for my phone. Is thin enough to look part of the phone and also love the silicone cover for protection when traveling. Is easy to use and understand hpw to use. Its heavy duty but ofcourse handle with care. Is fast to upload and download pictures from phone to cumputer. I love it keep phone speed high while still taking the high quality photo without having to delete photos for space.

The magnetic feature and wrist band really driving home the fact that this is meant to be used on the go. One thing to keep in mind - it is USB-C to USB-C so you’ll want to make sure your tech is compatible. The cord that came along with this was the perfect length and durability. Would recommend this to anybody on the market for a sleek, but secure external storage solution.

It's small, about the size of a deck of cards. It comes with a rubber case to protect your SL500. So small you could just slide into your pocket on the go. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lexar Portable SDD with Magnetic Set device is a must-have for those that take plenty of photos or videos on their phone. It comes with a silicone cass that protects and softens the corners of the SSD and has a Magsafe-style backing that fits onto my iPhone. Even if you don’t have a phone that supports Magsafe, it comes with a thin magnet that has an adhesive backing to stick anywhere. It comes with a durable, fairly short USB-C to USB-C cable that should be long enough to connect your phone to the SSD while it’s magneticly attached to the back of the phone. It also comes with built-in data encryption with a password you can set yourself if you have sensitive data for anything else.
